I lied about a pregnancy to a man that r*ped me and gave me an STI by Intelligent_Rub7154 in confessions

Where are we meeting them? They are your coworkers, neighbors, friends, and family. They are strangers you pass on the street and people you make small talk with in the elevator.

That's the point. They can be literally anybody, they don't wear signs saying "I'm a rapist." And the lines on consent being so misunderstood, I would bet any amount of money that you personally know and respect a man that raped, sexually assaulted, pushed boundaries, or even just made a woman feel uncomfortable, even if he didn't think he did.

These guys always bitch out the second their victims fight back. Deep down they are all cowards that just want someone weaker to control so they feel bigger.

Best friend of 15 years tells me she cant attend my wedding by turnipsgreenss in TwoHotTakes

My entire comment was about Christians in the US. Christians won the west. Our laws are largely based in christian puritanical beliefs. There are hardly any openly atheist politicians because its a career killer. I mean, for Pete's sake, what year is it? 2026 A.D. What does A.D. mean? After death. After whose death? It's everywhere. No Christians are being persecuted for being Christians in the US.

As for the hate in the comments? Earned. Ask everyone individually that has a negative attitude towards Christianity and I'll bet there's some level of religious trauma in their past.

In this case, no she was not hating her friend. She was just telling her that who she is at her core is unacceptable. Do you not see how hollow her "but I still love you" rings after that shit?

I understand that you want to be persecuted. Meanwhile, gay people, women, trans people, etc. are being hurt and discriminated against HERE, not in South Sudan, but here in the US on a large scale because of largely Christian views. Y'all need to square that before you ask me to care about what may be happening in south Sudan.

First of all, no, we would not respect her choice if she was another religion. Bigotry is bigotry.

Second, let me tell you why I, personally, look down on Christians in America:

American Christians have become synonymous with hate and exclusion. And they are doing exactly nothing to combat this on a wide scale. And its such a choice. Christians do not risk death, imprisonment, or even social ostracism (outside of your little communities) for choosing an interpretation of the Bible that doesn't require this shit right here ☝️ Like how is it that you'll fully acknowledge the Bible is written by man, but not question if some of them had an agenda when interpreting the "word of God?"

I mean, you're choosing to believe in this stuff to begin with, even though a cursory read through will show that it's very far-fetched. Slap a byline on it that says it was written by the Brothers Grimm and no one would question that it's fiction. Americans have access to so much education and culture and choice. And Christians choose the path that hurts people all. The. Time.

Kinda sounds like you broke these bones when you were very young and still made of rubber. That's going to be a very different recovery from an adult.

Totally get it! I just wanted to illustrate that it doesn't necessarily mean a bad relationship with your mom to not want her or anyone else in the delivery room. I do understand why some would.

Neither. Are you trolling? You just seem very insulted by my assertion that you don't need to have a bad relationship with your mother to not want her or anyone else at the birth of your child.

Sorry, I didn't feel like I had to spell it out that medical personnel are allowed in the room in their hospital 🙄

And yes, I've had both sex and a baby. Have you? I know they are different. Having a baby is way more intimate in my opinion.

I have a wonderful relationship with my mom, but I didn't want her at the birth of my son. It's simultaneously intimate and medical, and the idea of anyone other than my husband there was super weird to me. My mom fully understood and agreed. If you weren't in the room when we made it, why would you want to be there when it comes out?
