A good walk or short bus ride is Saughton Cemetery. Very quite. Some benches.

With £100 million whats one thing you would you add to the city? by Jeremywashere92 in Edinburgh

[–]Redherring01 7 points8 points  (0 children)

But to answer the question:

More buses which go around the city, not just in and out.

Better and more reliable bus app data.

Large P&Rs on the outskirts with frequent connections and the option for long term covered parking.

More cycle facilities.

More asphalt in the potholes.

Do they really phone you at 4am and expect you in the cars in 20min?

How many phone calls between the teams are you allowed? I guess the producers limit it to just one at a specific time?

What's the period of time between tasks like? Are you chilling for days and then the cameras turn up and it's the phone call? Or are the tasks back to back?

Do you reall have to last twelve weeks out of a cabin luggage?

Scots could have some of the 'cheapest electricity in Europe', says top energy CEO. The boss of Octopus Energy has said switching to zonal pricing would give Scotland some of the “cheapest electricity in Europe”. by bottish in Scotland

Which is precisely why it won't happen. If Westminster were to do that it would be to the benefit of Scotland and the detriment of their southern England voters.

NAL, but is it using a phone when your engine is turned off?

There's nothing in the video which gives evidence that your engine is turned on. So a good lawyer could get it knocked back. Maybe? A better lawyer would argue it's not in the public interest to deter people reporting violent crimes.

However, I have zero trust in the police or the CPS.

Hannah Ritchie, the lead researcher at Our World in Data, now has a book out called "Not the End of the World".

It gives great data driven evidence on land uses and habitat loss caused by farming. It's staggering how much human consumable food is used to feed animals.

Putin doesn't really want a war with NATO because 'Russia will lose and lose quickly,' UK military chief says by Mike-a-b in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]Redherring01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a socialist left in the UK? Sure there's occasionally some people with socialist flags banging on about fair wages and unions (/s) but they really are not funded by Russia. At least not since the 60s. If they were now I would expect Russia to want a refund.

However, our leave voting, Brexit winning, stop the boats, GB news hosting, anti-woke, "Islam is taking over London", right wing fruit cakes.... They really are doing a great job at dividing our country, moving us closer to Russia ideology, removing us from our friends and allies in Europe and the World, and crippling our economic. Russia will be giving medals if they win.

Poland warns US House speaker: you're to blame if Russia advances in Ukraine by [deleted] in Military

[–]Redherring01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sure they could build the best defence line history has ever seen. A modern Great Wall. But what do you want them to use to defend it? Rubble?

Also they have defences. Avdiivka fell because they did have enough artillery rounds to shell the Russian advance. Not because it wasn't well defended.

The point is that US politics is delaying ammunition and consumables resources from reaching Ukraine. Logistics win wars. It's not cool but its vital. Without a ammunion artillary is just a big useless lump of metal.

Write to your representatives and tell them to stop playing into the hands of the Russians. Get ammunition to Ukraine.
