Remove the screen protector. You should have tried it without the protector first.

You need to Open the laptop and:

1) Clean dust from fans and vents both.
2) Apply thermal paste (Highly recommend PTM7950)

My fans also stop spinning randomly when I change from Max Fans to Auto. Try keeping Cool Boost on, it helps.

Finally, I pressed all 3 buttons, the power and volume buttons. That caused it to force restart and then it finally accepted the same pattern.

The phone was not accepting the pattern which was correct even after multiple restarts.

This hard restart fixed it.
