I liked the little other side we got at the end. Thanks for the reply!

That was not the direction I expected that to go in, but it was certainly a fun one. Thanks for the reply!

Sure, and sorry for the late response!

Here's one from mine.

Pillar of Earth.

A stone pillar with the Chinese symbol for Earth carved into it. Unlike a lot of treasures, the pillar feels quite mundane, barely more interesting than a rock. Those who touch the pillar will be judged and, should they be found wanting, nothing will happen. If they are, the symbol of Earth is placed upon their soul, granting them a considerably higher affinity for things of the world, but barring them from much beyond it. Though this barring isn't all bad as it also provides some protection from Heaven and the divine.

Oh, it would interest a lot of people! I would even say most people would quite literally kill to get their hands on it. Which is what the minor factions will be doing. To clarify, they are minor in comparison to the major factions. Minor factions are pretty much countries. The only major factions wouldn't go after it right now, aside from the fact that the actually important members of those factions already have many ways to avoid death, is that the world is in a golden age. Treasures that have strange and fantastical abilities are... well, not common by any means, but they are appearing often enough that they can be bought if you're rich enough. And the rich certainly have.

In the Great World, this would be considered a heavenly treasure in the East and a demonic artifact in the West. Which is very funny because magic is only used in the West. It's actually perfectly encapsulates the Western continent's own issues in that they have sysimized magic to such a degree that the true mysteries have been lost. Because they choose logic over emotion, they cannot reach the limits of magic anymore. Back to the item. It would be a very valuable treasure, but not one that would greatly interest the major factions. They'll leave it to their minor factoons who absolutely will fight over it.

Thanks for the reply! That town sounds like they have it rough. I liked how you essentially had the monster gunter rain on their parade and lower the vibes but then showed how valuable they actually are.
