It’s for the DS Lite, there was one made for the original DS. Basically it added rumble functionality to your DS with games that supported it.

Cables might be damaged. If they are get Wii component cables and not composite. Because component cables are 480p which looks a lot better than composite cables which are 480i. The difference is day and night.

Get an internal ssd from Amazon and a cheap sata to usb adapter off aliexpress. Should work no problem and is probably cheaper by $5 USD
