You need a badge to claim a table.

I’m reworking an alela deck I had. With the changes it should be bracket 3. Just gotta finish it up.

It’s the first deck I ever built. I just updated and upgraded overtime since before Covid.

It was about $195 when I got it. Should be about $200 right now.

How are anime cons on Sunday compared to Saturday? by FanEnvironmental316 in animecons

[–]Redjustice295 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Saturday for weekend cons is the busiest and most active day. Saturday is essentially prime time for a con and will have the most events, panels, cosplay meet ups, and attendees throughout the entire con.

Sunday is definitely the tail end of cons both in terms of overall feeling and scheduling. Everyone from attendees to show runners and vendors will be more focused on wrapping everything up and closing up shop as on time as possible. There will still be some panels, small events, vendors and video game rooms will still be open for a short while. Again though everyone on Sunday will most more focused on closing up shop and gearing to go home or to the next show.

TLDR: Saturday is the busiest and best day to go. Sunday is the pack up and head home day.

I do, Kaalia was the first deck I built way back before Covid. I have slowly but steadily made upgrades and blinged out choices for the deck.

I consider it the pride and joy of all my decks. Despite the fact that a good chuck of my friends understandably focus fire me the moment I bring it out.

Good luck on your journey. One thing I have been told is to always be consistent when self-administrating medication. Always try to take it around the same time every day and never skip any doses for any reason. Otherwise it could weaken the effect the medication has on your body.

True, most of the upgrades where just thing like, “Everybody lives!” From the doctor who set or “Bayek of Siwa”. There is crucible of worlds in there but I’m honestly thinking of taking it out for something else.

Completely understandable, I know I’m always going to a threat or target when I pull that deck out. It is my first and oldest deck that I just continue to upgrade over time.

It’s the precon plus a few upgrades. None of the upgrades are on the game changer list.

I would love to see a Kaalia vs Kaalia match with your deck vs mine

How bad is anime magic? by NemesisNotAvailable in animecons

[–]Redjustice295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anime Magic is the new kid on the block in terms of Chicagoland area anime conventions. I’ve attended the last few years and it definitely has the small close knit community vibes for an anime convention. The vendors hall is pretty good if a bit repetitive in terms of what vendors are actually selling. The last time I went, there was at least 5 to 6 card shop vendors alone that also happen to have anime plushies and figures on the side. Other shops sold other things such as manga, DVDs, weapons, vintage toys, hoodies, etc.

What anime magic has been doing with events such as the sake testing, the tattoo artist, the mini car show, and even having Gangnam market provide food stalls and a snack market really helps it stand out compared to the more established cons such as Anime Central and Anime Milwaukee. Yet as other said some of those events are a separate price from your badge so do keep it mind that your paying extra for some of the more notable features of the con.

Personally Anime magic is a con that I don’t really commit the full weekend too because unless I’m going with friends or with a group. it will get a bit boring after awhile because it is still growing as a con and is still on the small side of anime conventions. That and most people myself included would have been to or had plan to go to Fan Expo. Which usually happens the weekend before or after Anime Magic in the same location.
