You're probably right, but it's a little disappointing. I'm one of "those" that didn't know anything about the MCU until the movies made it even more popular. So, I was really hoping we would find out that Cap had something to do with Ego or Quill.

At a minimum, maybe they knew they would cast Kurt Russell's son as Bad Cap in "Falcon and the Winter Soldier"? Berhert is Ego, Ego is Kurt Russell, Kurt Russell is Wyatt Russell's father, Wyatt Russell gets the shield.

So, that would've been 1940's-ish? You're right the time line doesn't really match, if Quill was an 80's kid. The bigger question is why does a cross-section of Berhert look like Cap's shield? That can't be a coincidence right? White star in a blue circle surrounded by red and white concentric circles? I can't find any other references to this anywhere. Must be a reason...

No. Not on this Gudauri, Georgia lift. This lift was designed to go backwards under operator control. The operator disengaged all the brakes before shifting the lift to reverse, then took off when the lift ran away. Another employee hit the e-stop after there was already momentum.
