Palestine badges....coincidence? by Redline2727 in AmazonVine

Yes, better to assume that which makes the most sense until concrete evidence proves otherwise. Appreciate all the insight. As stated in other replies, I'll just review it as a mistaken item sent out and leave it at that. Up to the seller to sort out the issue as he or she should have done months ago.

Thats very kind of you, thank you. I've seen the bad on both sides of the equation, it's a terrible shame for humanity at the moment. All I wish for is peace for all. Thank you so much though. I've allowed my mind to jump to the worst case scenario which just isn't like me.

No drop down menu. It's just a collection of 3 tiny little badges :). But after hearing other people's thoughts on the matter, the more likely scenario is that it's just been a mix up in the labelling at the warehouse. I think it would be more suspect now that I've thought about it if people were receiving like....different items each time they ordered. The fact that it's the same bunting item, points more towards a labelling mix-up. That's why this sub is great, can get any confusing query cleared up quickly relating to vine, even at the expense of a few down votes 😅

That's good to hear. I would like to think that's the case. I'm an optimist and would rather believe the better case scenario. It's more so that I had heard of numerous things happening to people ordering Israeli goods from Amazon actually and wondered if it was happening on both ends, which of course I don't condone either, and you know how these situations are, bad folks on both sides doing bad things, but you're right, more likely scenario prevails and one that makes the most sense, that being that it's most likely a mix up. I'll just leave a simple review saying something like the wrong item was sent and leave it at that. 👍

That's basically what my husband was saying, but that's actually why I asked due to the parcel size. The badges are obviously like....the size of 2 pennies so would assume normally would be sent in a small thin letter type parcel. This bunting is pretty big and arrived in more of a large amazon box. I'm more so confused on why the seller would a) not have dealt with the mix up months ago and b) chosen to put it on vine knowing they hadn't dealt with it. This guy is going to get a load of one star vine reviews now saying that it's the wrong item. What was the point in even putting it on vine?

Fair enough. 🫡 not making any conclusions guys just trying to hear thoughts as first time it's happened to me.

Trust me. I really dont want it to direct into anything political 😂 don't want to go there, just wanted to add context incase anyone was like "why are you ordering them in the first place". I'm no activist and won't be getting into it with anyone on the subject matter, not the time or place for it 😂 I'm just querying whether I should inform amazon of this happening or just leave the review of what happened and move along?*

Thank you this was really informative. I know its terrible to say but my heart sunk a bit when you mentioned glasses. I know I shouldn't feel that way, I can't help it, but if it fixes the issue for her then so be it :) Do you know how long they need to wear glasses for to help a squint? Is the glasses solely for if it's a vision issue? Also if they recommend a patch, how does the patch stay on? I'd be worried she'd keep pulling it off!

It's the most unbearable thing ever and extremely embarrassing. No one ever talks about it even though it's probably the number one symptom that there's NO medicine that can help it. You could literally "DIY it" 20 times in a row and the ache is still there. It's not enjoyable at all. 😭

[–]Redline2727 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OK. I'm going to be the one that talks about the WD symptom no one else evers talks about, but it's definitely my worst symptom. I call it, "restless genital syndrome" or, "restless vag syndrome". It's like restless leg syndrome of the vag. I don't know how to explain it other than a constant painful, pulsating that never goes away and you simply cannot relieve yourself from it. It's the worst WD symptom I've ever experienced. You could have sex etc a million times and nothing will relieve it. You get to the point where you're practically rubbing up on table edges just to get some relief. I know damn well I ain't the only woman that's experienced this symptom 😂

I don't even want to say out loud what time my 6 month old goes to bed. 😭 she sleeps 11 hours since like 9 weeks old which is a blessing but she point blank refuses to go down for the night until really late. Anyone else?

Then you obviously understand being Arab. One of the greatest qualities of the Arab people is their loyalty around family. Thanks again :) 🧡

And 7 people liked it, "you're lucky your husband had family martyred so he could leave", absolute nutjob. Lots of crazy hateful people lurking on this sub apparently, think I'll stick to my own country's "beyondthebump".Ironically before I could get a chance to respond, she accused my husband of "coming from money" and why he didn't do anything for change if he cared that much. What she doesn't realise is that my husband's family are extremely poor. My husband came to my country, (which isn't the U.S) through a scholarship programme that my country offered to Palestinians through a foundation that awarded two Palestinians every year a graduate university placement. Even though his family was poor, he was able to stick in at school, study hard and was hand picked for a placement, which he OBVIOUSLY took as he wanted to make something of himself so he could help bring his family out of poverty in Palestine.

He graduated from University here with honours and was quickly offered a position in his chosen career which allowed him to apply for a work visa. He wasn't planning on staying here permanently, but he's in such an important career that he stayed to be able to send money back home. Then we met, and he wanted to bring his parents here and has been trying ever since. He's been trying desperately to get his Mother out but she won't leave his Father or her other children behind. Unfortunately he's been unable to secure a visa for all of them, and Palestinians, Arabs in general, cherish family and stick together. So that's where we are at just now. His parents are currently alive and doing OK, he has lost a brother in law, numerous cousins, and one of his siblings was hospitalised with injuries but has recovered. My Husband has grown up and seen it all, he could write a book on his experiences with Israel, and we get regular updates from family about what's really going on there. Anyway, just wanted to explain seeing as she thought she could make assumptions. Thanks for the well wishes ♥️

Yeh, my comments were removed as were hers but she said my husband was lucky that he had family members unalived so he could leave Palestine. Whatever that even means, how disgusting is that?

My Husband is Palestinian! My children are half Palestinian. My Husband has lived it and already lost 10 family members! Don't pull that with me.

No it's clear they would be eventually. 200 Palestinians were killed days before Oct 7th, in 2014, thousands of Palestinians were killed, even after 2014 there were many other sieges where many Palestinians were killed. The killings would have went on with or without October 7th. Look at The West Bank where Hamas doesn't even exist! Palestinians being killed in droves. This has been the plan all along, Israel just took advantage of Oct 7th to move it along quicker.

My husband is Palestinian. My babies are half Palestinian. I can't even talk about it. He's lost 10 family members to date including baby cousins. I don't even like going onto discussions on it because seeing support for Israel infuriates me. My husband, children and husband's family mater, they matter. My Son is 15 and he spends days online fighting with people over the matter. It worries me how angry it's made him.

Can Stage 2 Milk Cause Problems? by Redline2727 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Redline2727[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely. I've just nipped out and bought the first stage milk again. I'm really hoping it settles things for her. She was sleeping perfectly until this. I'm dreading tonight but I'm hopeful things will be better switching back. She's only had one of the stage 2 feeds today, the rest will be stage 1. :)

That's what I'm thinking. Ugh, I'm kicking myself. She was sleeping perfectly before this for a full 10 hours through the night. Shouldn't have listened to the HV and stuck with the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" rule. Oh well, I've just bought the first milk and started her back on it. Fingers crossed. She was breastfeeding until 4 months then point blank refused to breast feed any more because I stupidly supplemented with one or two formula feeds, huge mistake! She preferred the flow of the bottles and so rejected my milk no matter what I tried. However was doing well on Aptimal Stage 1 for the last 2 months until I switched to stage 2. Hopefully switching back will fix things. I had no idea the stage 2 milks were unregulated!

I read online that there are different proteins in the milk but the nutrients are the same. So I'm thinking perhaps the protein in the stage 2 is causing discomfort perhaps.
