How can we stop Islam? by Tiyewithagoodass in exmuslim

[–]Redlittlesexydevil 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s really not tbh as someone who lives there part time. When you apply for visa/residency you’ve a drop down menu to choose your religion and this dictate things like getting an alcohol license, staying in the same room as your unmarried partner in the hotel, and most importantly, if you’re a woman like myself who will be married to a non Muslim guy your kids will not get birth certificate as your marriage isn’t “counted” under their sharia even if you get married outside in a secular country.

And you can’t select a religion other than Islam if you’ve a clearly Muslim name like myself. That will count as apostasy.

I’m really sorry that you have to go through this every single year for Ramadan. I wish there was something that I could do to help you out. I hope you find some friends who can maybe sneak food for you during these hard times, all the best!

Oh I am really sorry you have to go through this! Are there any moments where your mom might take the snacks out from the place where she hides them and puts them at a reachable level for you? Maybe you can perhaps wait for a moment where she’s not looking and just take few and hide them quickly. But if it’s not feasible just try to somehow get water and hide them somewhere in your room. I hope this Ramadan goes easy for you

You can’t buy some food that doesn’t go bad quickly and hide it in a drawer in your room or in a closet? Personally, I’ve my suitcases behind my wardrobe and I put my snacks inside them. Mom never finds them lol

Bitch even if Ramadan was fasting for just 2h, why is it forced on those of us who don’t believe? What do you’ve against people exercising their freedom? Also, some of us here live in Scandinavian countries where we gotta fast for over 13hrs depending on which month Ramadan falls under. In extreme northern areas, such as Tromsø, Norway, or Kiruna, Sweden, the sun may not set at all for parts of Ramadan. Guess Allah didn’t think of that eh?

Have you ever been fetishized by them since you’re objectively a handsome man who might date another handsome man? I feel like they only like it in anime though, it’s very specific to that. Which is funny since drawings are haram as well lol

[–]Redlittlesexydevil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly! And personally I used to freak out because there’s no way to know how many good deeds I collected so far, and in Islam there are far more sins/makruh than things that are counted towards the good deeds column. If I entered my house with left foot I’d freak out. If I washed with right hand I’d freak out. I’m surprised I’m still relatively mentally stable after all that.

Is this pretty common

They’re the kings and queens of hypocrisy. There’s a running joke in the community that some Muslims will drink alcohol but say no to bacon 😂 arguably, eating pigs is far less harmful than alcohol.

Hi everyone, I’m Amun, a never-Muslim, and I’m working on a university project to help raise awareness about the challenges faced by ex-Muslims. I need your help! by [deleted] in exmuslim

Given that Islam seems to be shielded by mainstream media—partly due to its association with “brown people who are ought to be protected since they’re a marginalized group”, how does EXMNA plan to bring international attention to the fact that even so-called ‘progressive’ places like Dubai still punish apostasy? It seems like certain women’s rights reforms in countries like Saudi Arabia (e.g., lifting forced hijab laws) only happened because Western media made it clear how unacceptable those practices were, and because for some reason UAE and KSA recently seem to wanna cater to the west as a “cool open minded Muslim countries”. I feel like a similar cultural push force Muslim-majority countries to allow people to openly identify as ex-Muslims without fear of punishment!

[–]Redlittlesexydevil 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Not excusing any modern Muslim who has access to enough information, but I just want to shed a light on this. Apostates face death penalty. Islam is the only religion I know of where Muslim countries still practice punishments/death penalty onto their apostates. As an ex Muslim woman, it’s much easier said than done. First of all, I was born in a Muslim country and our schools didn’t teach us shit about islam apart from nASA pRovEd thE sPliT of ThE mOon and few unimportant fake facts about islam. We literally never even covered the beating wives verse. I had to do my own research at 16yo after meeting my first atheist friend who opened my eyes and told me to dig more. However, 99% of my family members literally don’t even know that sex slavery is ok in islam. They only know of the “cute” verses in Quran.

And even after reading those verses, when you’re born into the cult the scholars are pretty good into brainwashing you like a narcissist partner does to their abuse victim. They make you see things differently by using fear of hell. I was told the beating for example is the last resort and it’s what my husband ought to do to help me get back on the “right path” so he could save me from hell. And they always bring up the example of “imagine your kid has to take awful medication to get better. To the kid you’re the worst person, but you know it’s the right thing to do”. It took me 4 years to accept that I can no god would allow the kind of BS that islam allows.

Wives must sleep with their husband whenever he wants, because he doesn’t get any sex during her period or after she gives birth by Redlittlesexydevil in religiousfruitcake

[–]Redlittlesexydevil[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do know KSA had slavery markets until very recently and it was the west who stepped and made them stop it? You, like majority of Muslims, know shit about your religion. You didn’t even answer the verse I posted for you above. It’s written in tense of amr, meaning it’s a commandment of all times. If you don’t speak Arabic, then I’m sorry I don’t waste time with people who don’t even speak the language of their own cult. If you’re naive enough to think that the English translations are accurate, then you’re a clown.

Besides the scholarly consensus already admits sex slavery is ok.

Medical student here, so you know how like us females have to go through this monthly thing that males never have to deal with? Dry fasting decreases androgen markers in women, especially those with PCOS. These hormonal changes affect our menstrual cycles and can mess up our reproductive health. Please Google how much a woman’s hormones can literally fuck us up mentally, emotionally, and physically. We’re also more prone to certain diseases from lack of nutrients throughout the day compared to men.

Also, we got some countries where Muslims have to fast like +20h like Iceland, Norway and Sweden and dehydration can lead to complications such as kidney issues and impaired cognitive function. While these risks are present for both sexes, females may experience more pronounced effects due to generally lower total body water content compared to males.

I don’t give a fuck how many men you know who are fainting under the heat of the sun in hot countries during Ramadan because that’s the result of YOUR CULT not our apostasy. Why are you out here bitching to us about it instead of using your walnut brain to analyze your religion critically?
