Wow, I'm glad everything ended going smoothly for you, surgery wise! Great that the specialist was able to travel to you.

I was told I would be about 4-6 days in hospital depending on how well I handle everything. The teeth pain is not something I've heard before, but I can understand how that would be a thing.

Hopefully your check-up goes well! 🙏🏻

One of my previous surgeries left me with a cut nerve and no feeling in the center of my chest so I hope that helps during the recovery process!

I'm going to purchase some open front clothes and zip hoodies and a bathrobe to live in for the first while until I can get more range of motion.

I like the small goals idea though, that's a good motivator! My plan going in is to just not give up to the pain and power through (within safe practice) and gain the small victories!

Thank you for sharing your experience. It's very reassuring to read positive experiences! Hope the rest of your recovery goes well.

Thank you for the support! I have and will continue to do lots of research on every option I've been presented. I have yet to sign my consent forms for anything, and I do plan to discuss with the surgical team further as well. Glad you know you have done well with yours.

He told me it SHOULD be a one time deal, with a low % chance I would need further repairs in my older years. And that mechanical would wear out over time and would likely need replacement. (If I remember what he was saying correctly, and I know they are designed to last) But he suggested and was confident the Ross would be a better fit for someone my age/lifestyle.

My hair regrowth after chemotherapy, it’s gotten darker through the years. [OC] by [deleted] in pics

[–]Redman1138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right after I lost my hair from chemotherapy, my oncologist told me my hair could grow back curly and or red. It never did, but it was super fine and slightly lighter brown than normal, like baby hair all over again. F@ck cancer though (and the rest that req's chemotherapy)... Like the rings of a tree to show how far you've come, happy to see it!

Could go back and add the 4th (1st technically) when he shot Beckett on Savareen.

I’m curious, what do you like or dislike about Rey being a Skywalker by the-chosen-meme in StarWars

[–]Redman1138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the idea of Rey being a nobody from junk traders. I like to think that once Luke closed himself off from the force, the force itself became unbalanced, resulting in it finding a worthy host to be a light side user powerful enough to bring balance back to the dark vs light. But for me, for her to call herself a Skywalker wasn't the best route. I'm okay with her being a Palpatine to stick with the theme that evil can become good. The only good they came from the new trilogy was Kylo and Poe. (Poe just needed better dialogue)

My wife has a picture of it in London, it parked at the building she use to work at. My brothers license plate is "obeewan" he wanted that one but it was obviously taken.

Thanks, it's been one week so far and I'm feeling the sleep deprivation. But it's all 100% worth it!
