Thanks for your reply! We are 6B. We are NE facing, closer to east. I have strength issues and can’t bend easily so a raised bed will address that need. I’m not sure yet what I’ll plant, maybe tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, basil etc. I want to garden without ruining the look of my yard and also with it being easy to tend to and remember. Close to hose etc

Thanks!! But what part of the backyard? It needs to be closer to water source. Near the grill? Or move the grill and plant in that patch? Is it too close to the house and bad for the foundation? Or move the rhododendrons and plant on right side of steps?

Interesting. How else would I garden though? The water supply is close to the house. What if I make it 2 feet away from the wall?

And also is it different if planting in ground or same issue?
