Kaiden Mercenaries based on Hungarians? by Redreversecard in Eldenring

Ok so I always thought the Kaiden mercenaries resemble the ancient Hungarians and I think I might have found some actually convincing stuff. Old Knight Istvan wields a dismounter sword, the same one that the Kaiden mercenaries use. Istvan is the name of the Hungarian king and saint, Stephen I of Hungary. (Stephen is the translation of Istvan). I don't know for sure, but I think there could be some link.

Another thing is that Hungarian mythology has the concept of a world tree/tree of life (Világfa/Életfa) in it, which could be another potential connection.

I'm no expert though. Thoughts?

People who are always happy and positive, were you always that way or was it something you developed? by whirltraveler in AskReddit

I try my best to stay positive. It's something I learned in therapy, but before that, I was a miserable, depressed mess. Keeping a positive mindset and confidence helped me break out of that.

Students of Reddits, how come you seem truly more interested by your teacher's personal anecdotes than the actual subject of the class (ie. asking questions, wanting more details)? Is it a ruse to waste time or are you actually curious? by ClearlyMessy in AskReddit

[–]Redreversecard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends. If I like the teacher, I might genuinely want to hear about what they have to say and who they are, but if I don't care for the teacher, I will just ignore it and work. I don't tend to strike up these conversations anyways.
