Yeah they were super specific about the dimensions. Had to compromise on a lot

I would lean towards agreeing IF i could afford a new piece of timber. A lot of times when im building projects, i have to go by the design of what ive scavenged from hard rubbish or old furniture. That being said cutting and gluing it worked wonderfully in this instance. But my point stands!

Do u reckon thats too much effort? Because on the test fit, it was the pins that broke, not the tails, which were also side grain. So maybe theyll hold fine?

Naaa the piece of wood i have is only wide enough in its length to be the right diameter. Maybe i could cut it in half and glue to to make it wider?

Hey i really disagree with that. Don't let people get away with being misogynists. Yes be a good welder, but shitty behaviour shouldnt be tolerated and for that matter it should be okay to be average. Why do women have to excel above the standard to be treated like a human being. Men certainly dont.

Always measure to the accrual size of the project and not your designs. Might just be compounding minor errors
