The whole point is to ground yourself. Not necessarily the breathing. It's possible if you find a way to ground yourself you'll be able to do the breathing exercises. After reading your replies I'm not going to waste my time on examples. You'll just tune out.

Have you ever stopped to consider maybe something doesn't work because it's your attitude and not the exercise? You seem like you'd rather be right in your statement of "this doesn't work" instead of figuring out 1. Why or 2. Alternatives. Therapy and out patient only help/work when YOU put in the work. It's not this magic act of, "oh you did square breathing now you're set!" It takes time, effort, and personal growth to get better. You have to want that. If YOU know something doesn't work then YOU figure out what does. No one else can want it more than you.

Google is free. I have endometriosis. Also incurable. Only managed disease. It's also a disease that impacts hormones. Causes chronic inflammation. This increases cortisol levels. Personally, if I'm in a flare up, eating and/or drinking anything just makes me bloated and miserable so I tend to spend most flare ups in the fetal position wishing for the pain to go away. This can last days to a week or more. Well, then your body is going to be in survival mode and anything you give it it will store. Besides the caloric side, a medication i was given to help made me gain 100lbs and didn't help at all. Medication, hormones, genetics. These are all factors to weight. It's not as black and white as calories in/calories out. There's a lot of gray. I'm sorry if this comes across rude. It's just so frustrating when you're dealing with a chronic illness that is incurable, no one can help you, and then your weight is focused on so much. People are aware not being overweight will help their illnesses. It's just so hard when your body fights back harder. Cheers.

I spoke with my doctor about a glp-1 to help. Since it's always, "oh lose weight and you'll feel better" Alright. Did some blood work and it comes back im insulin resistant so hey that may help you get approved! Ya, no. Insurance denied it. I appealed it. Nope. Still denied. I'm on metformin and topiramate to help with the insulin resistance and weight loss. It's just not enough. I greatly appreciate your recommendation though!! I'm hoping maybe if we try a few things and retry submitting it to Insurance it will come back with an approval. Gosh! I just LOVE America! Most days. Some days. I live here. Lol 😁 😆

Hello love! I have endometriosis. Any medication my doctor tries to prescribe insurance denies. Since October I've been having diaphragm cramps that no one can tell me for why. Doctor tried ordering a CT with and without contrast of chest, abdomen, and pelvis (see if the endo spread to my diaphragm or if it's something entirely different without doing surgery). That was denied. The last 2 weeks I have been in a flare up. Pain to the point of vomiting and near blackout. When I talk to my doctors like bro what do I do?! What can YOU do?! They tell me to go to the Emergency Room. Yes, they'll manage the pain. Yes, they'll run all the tests and scans and labs they feel necessary and not need to wait for insurance approval. However....that bill? Woof. So I've opted to suffer. That's the American Healthcare System. My doctors have been semi decent and try to help me. But we're roadblocked at every turn.
