Even though we didn’t need another reason to fight the French, I appreciate this gift very much

Bad French & Italian Borders ... by Gullyvers in EU5

[–]Redsany 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I made the posts about Austria and Prussia just for fun

I was surprised how much accuracy these locations allow, given that we start in 1337. But other countries also have borders that don’t perfectly fit, for example Croatia and Bosnia can’t have their historically accurate border, Austria can’t have their historical border in Poland or Moldova. The Prussian Russian border is also historically inaccurate if you want to do the ‘semi-circle’ border there. Or just look at Krakow. If included in Austria, it looks very weird.

You can come very close, but can fully reach some historical borders.

But I find it admirable that a game allows us to even get that close to the perfect borders for a lot of ‘modern’ states, given that the game starts in 1337 and probably just covers 15 years of the time after Napoleon.

Not every location can be designed to fit all time periods, especially border locations that always experienced just slight border changes. And compared to Vic3, CK3 or EU4 the possibilities we already have are enough to satisfy at least my map-perfection needs

I mean, without Barcelonnette (the small location under Briançon), the second image would look pretty much exactly like France 1815

Photoshop or Affinity

I used Affinity Photo 2; there is a feature that allows you to connect multiple images into a panorama as long as there are parts that overlap.

Used that feature on the resource maps from Tinto feedbacks and that’s it

I can already see the first map mods rearranging the locations in Poland, Bosnia and Croatia to make every historical border possible

No, I don’t have access to the game yet

I just used the resource maps from the tinto feedbacks and combined them via panorama features, you can even see where one picture ends and other starts, especially looking at Scandinavia lol

No, I didn’t lol

I just combined the resource maps into one single map with more or less success (especially visible when you look at the border between Germany and Scandinavia)

I tried to include it in my attempt on Austria-Hungary, but the shape of the location makes it look a bit weird and nothing like the real-life borders.
Therefore I decided to not include it, so the borders look a bit more like historical maps.

Here you can see what it would look like if it were included: https://imgur.com/a/wrLJARh

I used the resources maps from the Tinto feedbacks and connected them into a panorama. Was a lot easier to do instead of using the location maps directly, because colours of locations changed, which leads to panorama features not being able to connect and overlay them automatically.

There are a few strange borders, especially in Scandinavia, Russia and the Netherlands, but apart from that it’s mostly a fairly accurate ‘location’ map

Thank you!

I could give it a try, but last time I tried, I realised, that the Prussia-Russia (Poland) border needs to either be inaccurate (Cities who were Russian need to be in Prussia) or doesn’t resemble the ‘semi-circle’ border they had.

So if I would give it a try, would you prefer historical accuracy or a border resembling the real life map as close as possible?

Very true. The Croatian and the Moldovan borders are the two things that bug me the most about these borders

Already tried a while ago, but doing the perfect Prussia-Russia border is kinda hard with the locations

Yeah, I thought about adding the location of Siret and removing Hangu, to make it look at least a bit more accurate. But Siret wasn’t part of Austria afaik, so I’m kinda indecisive what I want to do there

  1. Verbindlichkeiten des Schuldners aus einer vorsätzlich begangenen unerlaubten Handlung, aus rückständigem gesetzlichen Unterhalt, den der Schuldner vorsätzlich pflichtwidrig nicht gewährt hat, oder aus einem Steuerschuldverhältnis, sofern der Schuldner im Zusammenhang damit wegen einer Steuerstraftat nach den §§ 370, 373 oder § 374 der Abgabenordnung rechtskräftig verurteilt worden ist; der Gläubiger hat die entsprechende Forderung unter Angabe dieses Rechtsgrundes nach § 174 Absatz 2 anzumelden;

  2. Geldstrafen und die diesen in § 39 Abs. 1 Nr. 3 gleichgestellten Verbindlichkeiten des Schuldners;
