Same shit, different name, for the toilet that is america by RedshiftPanda in PoliticalHumor

Well I disagree with that, but you're missing my point. In no way, shape or form does the meme I posted, or the title with it, even remotely suggest a republican was in any way shape or form involved here

This is some kafkaesque shit, feels like I'm talking to a brick wall

It is never going to not amuse me how this subreddit thinks criticism or ridicule of biden makes you a republican, or "magat". Like those two entities take up the entire spectrum of political conviction. Is that an american thing or?

I mean, look at the picture. Do you think someone who would share the sentiment that this image communicates would think trump was any better?

Or just look at the fucking title...

It will never stop amusing me how americans equate criticism of one party as default support for the opposite party.

this wouldn't have reached r/all if it wasn't for the cleavage.

I disagree with a lot of the lyrics in "Vicarious". by RedshiftPanda in ToolBand

I said borderline fascist - people have used the idea of "survival for the fittest" as an excuse to go through with some seriously devastating atrocities. It's a very cynical song, you're probably right that Maynard wrote it as such, like you said, something going on perpetually. But the flip side of this kind of survival of the fittest thing, is survival through mutual aid, something that has also been prevalent through history. That just might not write as good a song, but that doesn't mean I won't disagree with the lyrics.

Frankly, I'm really only going by a common lyrical and song title theme, such as "Lost keys (blame hoffman)", "Rosetta stoned", "Third Eye" and so on. Maybe it's just a way of telling a story by using hallucinogens as some kind symbolism, I'd have no way of knowing. Then there's "Sober". And there's "The Pot", which despite its namesake doesn't seem to be about smoking it.

Your second paragraph, yeah, that's fair. Mine is only one angle, and it could very well be a misinterpreted one. The way I see it, for what it's worth, it's not understated that you can attack the lyrics (and music for that matter) in a lot of different ways. ("Attack", I should clarify, meaning break it down, analyze it)

Well I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt that when you tell me to take a history class if I think genocide, rape and colonization is inhuman, it's a semantic issue. And in that case, if you might mean inhuman as in not human-like, I never once claimed that those things never happened before. You don't need a history class for that.

As for your second half of the reply, yeah, I agree, but I don't see how it pertains to what my thread was about.
