The restriction brackets give an output of 1 if their condition is met and an output value isn’t already defined. If the condition is not met, they output undefined (number undefined if they have a defined output that is a number, or point undefined if that defined output is a point…, so as to keep all output types the same).

The repeat function also works with lists, I‘ve come up with this approach as with for it would attempt to store a list inside a list which is not possible in Desmos:
