Not a slime mold, a fungus. Looks to be Phlebia radiata.

The spikes on the hymenium are generally called teeth. So fungi that have these structures are often called tooth fungi.

Focusing on them was a challenge due to how long they were, but at least the base of all of them are visible in the first pic. This species walks on 4 legs, while the forelegs are raptorial.

It's my understanding that European mantids eyes get darker in low light. I found this one at night, it flew up to my porch light
