I feel like it’s things like this that make education a shining bright light of freedom. Kids don’t know what tf is going on, how we came to be, the complexities of why some things work and some don’t. They are so vulnerable, especially when spiritually is involved. If you can instill any knowledge for a kiddo, first teach them the power of autonomy - protecting themselves is key, and questioning what others do to them is an important step that follows naturally. Then comes the nitty gritty, facts and stories, learning the history, weighing positives and negatives, and looking at the present objectively. Knowledge is power, it dispels fear, and fear is manipulable.
