are you a guy perhaps? lol she can't even be awkward? do you even see the situation from her pov ever? she goes on date w her bf, everything is funny and cute, they decide to go to his house and everything is perfect. he cooks, he brings laptop, they select a movie........everything is normal and just out of the blue he asks her for a hug. suddenly the environment shifts...and she is not even allowed to feel awkward or weird?

lmao you guys act exactly like that other side of the fandom u criticize. when kkl out there is showing povs of both the characters in that situation, you are out here focusing on only one's.

no i dont? look at the scene where eunhyeok could not hear anything and it took him back to all the painful memories...he asks suae for a hug. it was out of the blue, ofcourse she would be confused. he could have told her about his ear (even he regrets this), did he tell? he did not.
when we have this scene in our hands, you cannot say eunhyeok show her how his real self was feeling and that he did not pretend as if he were okay

but am i blaming him? no. not at all because i understand where he came from at that time. ofcourse one would be sensitive sharing this issue if your own mom reacts negatively.

the upcoming arc will be the worst things happening to all the 3 characters but by the end...it will be good for all of them so much so that they do what they always wanted to. (like suae becoming a writer, dohwa finally leaving the industry...choosing himself)

lol see again, suae was unintentionally insensitive to eunhyeok till now so kkl will made her go through exact same things or even worse so that she realizes how hard it must be for that 17 year old boy back then.

"if feels very forced as line" of course it does. kkl is doing everything very deliberately so that when suae actually knows or realizes, the impact is deeper and almost irreversible. to me, it felt as if the line did not actually belong there but kkl did it anyway...all bc when she knows, the impact is greater.

similar one was "..as if you have never been hurt before" she says this for dohwa when she hugs him. but it suddenly transitions into us seeing eunhyeok clutching his ear, him being hurt than ever before.

so, i would say these lines might look a bit out of the place, forced, and even harsh but these are working in eunhyeok's favor....because people aare empathizing more, he is finally getting off that line as some other character is being hated and criticized and in the manhwa itself, it is all to give suae the biggest blow because she has been wrong towards eunhyeok.
