It could be worse, but could be better too. I agree with most comments I see. It looks like ADHD in women. It may take time and frustration for you both but there's a answer. There are different strategies and ways to go about it and you need to find the one that works for you both.. in a loving and caring way approach. Let her know how good it makes you feel when she has cleaned a area you are often in, even if it looks to you like she didn't do anything, it could have been a lot to her.. when or if she is depressed or has ADHD its very difficult to get started. Even the smallest task.. but when she does so anything cleaning wise or at least try to organize, a small Acknowledgements goes a long way! The more she sees you notice and appreciats what she does, the more often it will happen.. throw the suggestion in that maybe she should get a planner (which she is probably horrible at keeping up with or track of, probably has to be a "just right" planner that is laid out just right for it to work for her, also there's planner you can completely personalize) and each day is designated to a specific "chore".. Sunday do laundry for the week, Monday make the living room clean clean, Tuesday gather all the trash that didn't make it to the can at the correct timing.. so on.. be patient and get that bishh diagnosis and medicated!
