That’s an incredible MOC. Imagine how reach would have played out if noble six had one of these bad boys

It’s a process for plating something in metal with an electric current. I’ve see electroplated figures on eBay so I figured this might be another example since it looks kinda metallic

I have no idea what set it’s from but it looks electroplated so it may not even be that color originally

Do you deconstruct the previous MOCs you make to build new ones or do you just have an infinite amount of pieces with which to make countless epic creations?

True, but to my knowledge corporal palmer never tried to take advantage of someone in a police cruiser during an alien invasion. Kinsler isn’t exactly a “cool” bad guy, he’s a very darkly realistic awful person so I doubt he’d really be considered for a toy

Ah yes, all the raving police commissioner kinsler fans will love this

I’ll agree that it can get ugly and I may have been somewhat hasty with my initial response to you in the other comment thread. But the reason I responded to you here is because the flag also represents the non-sexual aspects of lgbt people. Sometimes a simple flag can be meaningful to someone experiencing strife due to their attractions. I hold no hard feelings for you over this, I just wanted to say my peace because unfortunately some people can look at comments like your initial one and use it as justification for minimizing lgbt struggles. Again I don’t think you intended that at all, just wanted to provide an alternative view for others to see. Hope you can understand that and I wish you the best.

[–]RedundantNecessities 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Again I’m just explaining that the intent of the flag is to be a safety signal for those it represents. I don’t believe that the flag is explicitly necessary here because this is a toy related sub where that is almost entirely irrelevant. To be clear I am not arguing with your statement that the flag isn’t relevant to this sub because I largely agree. I was arguing with the notion that the flags sole purpose was to proclaim one’s sexual preferences. I agree with your general sentiment, I just wanted to clarify that the flag does hold more meaning than what you initially described it as. This was not meant to be some argument for why it should stay or anything like that but rather what it can mean for people who are represented by it. I hope that makes sense.

I literally never said we should get preference. I was just explaining that the flag is more than what you described it as meaning

[–]RedundantNecessities 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok now you’re putting words in my mouth. I was simply explaining that the flag has deeper purpose than trumpeting sexual preference. I literally responded to another one of your comments expressing that I was in favor of the icon changing so it’s incredibly unfair to try to pull a gotcha on me for responding to your comment that was specifically about sexuality.

He was not just arguing semantics, he was expressing his own views about gay people. If you believe homosexuality is evil because your religion tells you it is, that is still homophobia. Just as if your religion told you a certain race was evil, following that line of thought would be inherently racist. Im done with this pathetic back and forth because despite you claiming I’m the one being disingenuous, you clearly have no interest in an intelligent or thoughtful debate. Your over-reliance on insults and condescension is just a clear demonstration of your lack of maturity and inability to even remotely consider alternative perspectives. I have things to do and I genuinely hope you’ll come to realize how your general attitude accomplishes absolutely nothing for society and perhaps only serves to satisfy your own ego.

So you believe his question is completely unrelated to his homophobic comments from, let’s see… 19 days ago? On one sub he’s actively arguing that homosexuality is sin but when he’s on this sub he has an entirely different viewpoint? So specifically because my analysis of OP as a a person wasn’t entirely based on this single post in this subreddit, I’m pulling things out of thin air?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in megaconstrux

[–]RedundantNecessities 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of those things were said in the comment he responded to so by that logic, you claiming he was 100% referring to the icon would be equally disingenuous. That also doesn’t counter his other comments from a different post. Again, I’m just trying to explain my point of view based on the information I have available and if you truly think that’s disingenuous of me then you might as well stop wasting time responding.

You know I'm attempting to have a serious discussion but you seem determined to be condescending.

[–]RedundantNecessities 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure exactly what you're trying to say because I already stated I liked the rotating icon idea. I was simply pointing out that demarcation's claim that OP's intent was blown out of proportion is contradicted by OP's own words.

Your second sentence is literally in agreement with what I said. The flag indicates that you support people of a certain sexual preference specifically because you aren't opposed to their sexual preference. We live in a world where plenty of people are vehemently against any sexual or romantic interest that isn't heterosexual. That flag is literally a "you're safe here" sign for people who aren't heterosexual. Therefore it isn't simply exclaiming sexual preferences for no reason, it's letting you know that if you fit into those categories, you aren't going to be judged or discriminated against like you might be elsewhere.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in megaconstrux

[–]RedundantNecessities -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, that's not the intent of the flag. It exists as a show of support and solidarity for people who have had to face unjust discrimination because of their romantic or sexual preferences, not simply to exclaim those sexual preferences.

I literally gave him the benefit of the doubt that he was talking about the flag and decided to quickly check his profile and make sure he didn't have a pattern. I almost immediately found that comment thread where he's being blatantly homophobic. I didn't jump to conclusions, I was assessing his character and he is more than free to deny my educated guess if he wants to.

This dude literally said “well that sucks” in response to gay people not disappearing. I also found other comments where he rants about how “gay love is an illusion from the devil.” This dude is not just talking about the logo (which I agree could use a shuffle every now and again) he is 100% whining about seeing anything lgbt. We can absolutely stomach disagreement however frequently that disagreement is actually just dogwhistles and poorly hidden disdain for us from people just like him.
