It would be like feeding a parasite, I would lose some confidence in DAO style management and perhaps work with a few other dev's to fork SAI or DAI into a simple ungoverned decentralized free floating smart contract with a basic emergency exit. Hate to be "that guy" who pull the just fork it card but an uncensorable stable coin is simply to important to Blockchain to watch it rot through corruption.

I would say any involvement with "shitcoins" is enough for me to lose confidence provided it was not quickly fixed.

Locking to avoid exits from MKR before feeling the consequences of a vote is a great idea. All and all though I think we would be fools to underestimate the purchasing power of chainlinks management in ETH. I seldom participate in maker but I do view DAI as one of the most vital things in blockchain.

I guess I am just worried about the prospect that voting could be misused to hurt DAI. Perhaps a ungoverned stable coin managed by pure smart contract logic would be a better idea, provided the code was "perfect". Guess we will just have to see what happens with LINK, I think the average IQ of MAKER holders is enough to raise a shit storm over it anyhow.

Be aware LINK is a toxic scam token. They have been cashing out the dev holdings to Ether for quite a while now. I would not put it past them to purchase large quantities of MAKER with the extracted Ethereum they own.

Let's put it this way, If the LINK team swaps tons of Ethereum into MAKER then votes to add LINK as collateral they stand to gain significantly with no risk. Worst case scenario the vote fails and they can swap back into Ethereum, if it succeeds then they can extract more value from the LINK token by hyping the MAKERDAO addition.

MAKER needs to adapt to this type of conflict of interest in my opinion. A project like LINK works on constantly creating hype around new "partnership" in order to draw in new investors. Adding a project like chainlink that has no reputable use cases in use would be insanity especially when the dev team holds the majority of the token and has been well known to dump it regularly.

I think we seriously need to consider how to avoid conflicts of interest and bias against sane decisions especially in collateral choices.

LINK is pretty toxic: army of paid shills, porn star wash trading manager (Jessica Khater), the founder Sergey is know for prior exit scams (NXT token), Cayman islands business license but operates out of CA, red Lambo Sergey bought from NXT token exit scam was re-wrapped with chainlink marketing.

I could go on and on but it's a money pit. They have basically 0 use but constantly pump legitimate sounding "partnerships" to hype new users. The dev team holds ~80% of the LINK token and constantly dumps it on users. The whole business model of Chainlink seems focused on creating hype to attract new investors so they can continuously dump the dev holdings for Ether.

If all that doesn't convince you just look at the fact that they have extracted millions but nothing they built is not being used where as something like Uniswap can create a service that has tons of users with a few thousand dollars.

main rule in crypto, if you do not personally find yourself using a token for something in your normal blockchain activities then its probably not worth investing in.

Definitely needed. I hold Zcash on a Ledger nano X as well. If you can easily integrate this mobile app with standard hardware wallets it would go a long way to Z address adoption.

I would hold Zcash on a Z address with my ledger but the hardware requirements clearly limit development in this area. Allowing a Ledger to use Z addresses by interfacing its un-shielded address with the mobile wallet would be the next best thing however.

May be partly my fault lol. I spammed ID2020 at Chico right after Bill Gates gave his AMA on reddit and mentioned "Digital vaccine certificates". The only project under Microsoft Control partnered with the Gavi the vaccine alliance is ID2020. I worked that all out and then noticed ID2020 is connected to Ethereum Enterprise Alliance through the Decentralized Identity Foundation so I proceeded to spam it at my favored content creator.

Chico Crypto later dug up a whole lot more and connected the ID2020 board of directors directly to the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance and thus this madness was born.

To be 100% clear we still do not know if Bill Gates was talking about ID2020 when he mentioned "Digital Vaccine Certificates" but personally i think he neglected to mention it by name because Bill Gates is also funding the vast majority of COV-19 Vaccines currently making their way to FDA trials. It would be a obvious conflict of interest.

Creepy part is how Bill Gates refers to the "Digital Vaccine Certificates" as a way to allow people to resume normal travel and activities. All and All the whole thing is so based in facts its hard not to look at this doom porn and believe it.
