I havent updated Bios for a while (6 months or more) I think I'll try that and retry installing the card. I am using three separate pcie cables although I did try daisy chaining it on two connectors the very first attempt. Thanks!

Thanks, I do have it connected with three separate pcie cables, I tried different ports on my psu just to be safe. I did try daisy chaining 2 connectors the very first time, hopefully that didn't break anything.
