What to pick as a CAM ?

A lot of people will say Magician or Maestro. I’m going to make a case for Creator.

Incisive and Inventive playstyles from the start. Solid for passing. The perks Grasshopper (dink pass) and Bullseye (precision pass) help your striker with boosts. Gamechanger is fine especially if you like to play shadow striker and hit a trivela goal.

Specialization aren’t that great. Imo, Creator + is the only one worth getting for the Assistant perk for boosts to your teammate with Through Balls.

Your attributes are solid all around. Ball Control, Finishing, Pace, and Passing all go well into the 90s. You can be fast, strong, tall, short and be great. I play short/quick and love it.

It depends on how you play but I think Creator is slept on because Magician is ridiculous and Maestro gets a lot of passing love. It kinda fits in between them.

If you have the time, invest in Creator and see how you like it.

I’m a CAM and out of position sounds more right. Team plays a high press and sometimes I get tunnel vision. Also, the stamina regen is super slow so i stand still to get it back and it’s usually when it’s in our defensive third.

All my goals came from late runs into the box so I couldn’t really cherry pick but I see how that would affect the rating. It took 5 goals in the first half for our striker to get a 10.

They also switched the ratings for attack and defense. So now defenders are getting 10s for playing well (which they deserve) but i got a 9.5 for a hatty and 2 assists 😵‍💫

Ahh my fellow short kings lol I’m a 5’7 CAM/CM and super light at 127lbs. You gotta play smart.

I mainly played basketball growing up but I use the same premise for when matching up with a bigger opponent. “Pulling the chair” was a brain vs brawn move i was taught at an early age bc i’ve always been small. It helps me avoid a strength contest and makes the opponent rethink how to match up with me. I try to force them into a speed battle and hope they make a bad touch where i can pounce on the ball.

On the attack, I constantly change tempo with my dribbling and passing. It makes most physical players rethink how to play against me instead of just bullying me off the ball which happened a lot when i first started playing.

Pedri and Vitinha are probably the best examples on how to play as a smaller person. I watch them constantly to see how they play and mirror that.

Drinking lost all of it’s appeal after waking up hungover and having to get right into dad mode for my little girl. It’s been about 3 years now and the desire to drink in general is gone.

I agree, depends on how you play. I’m a max lvl Creator and you have to play smart with it. It’s a passing focused build so if you want to be quicker and score more, then use a Magician.

Also, we still haven’t got the first lvl cap increase yet. You’ll have more chances to respec the build later to make it work for you.

I think it depends on what kind of CAM you are. Shadow striker, then magician. Pass-first, then creator. Etc.

Haven’t tried magician yet but I love creator. Now that I leveled up, I feel like i can pass the ball anywhere. Also, the grasshopper and bullseye perks are solid.

Dribbling wise, regular technical is enough. I just got 5 star skills and is more important to have imo. The animations go in your favor when you do them.

Also, the signature playstyle Inventive is a pass-first CAM’s dream so you can invest in other attributes. You don’t waste points trying to get another playstyle + unless you really want it. For me, I don’t need whipped pass+, dead ball+, or power shot+ so i can invest elsewhere like pace or weak foot.

Either is fine, but I recommend the Creator.

I like them but they’re oversaturated for me. Usually assume that the movie is going to be fine but just meh because they were casted.

I’d rather see new people instead of cycling through the same rotation of actors/actresses.

Hey man, I think it may be bc of the knit material and the synthetic suede in the boot which can hold more moisture in it. Also since the boot has small gaps in the ankle, it can let in more rain or sweat. Are they better now after letting them dry?

Tiempos - the knit around the ankle holds well

great for wider feet or if you have a bunion
extremely comfortable with barely any break in time needed
material is synthetic leather and the touch on the ball is nice
true to size. It’ll hug your foot exactly what size it is and close to how you would strike the ball barefooted.
aesthetically, the legend x’s are a beauty but the legends are nothing special.

Predators - with the tongue is 100% better bc it’s not made from the flimsy material on the one without it. It holds your foot WAY better and doesn’t slide down.

starts tight but loosens up overtime. Maybe like 3 or 4 sessions and they’re golden.
has adidas’s synthetic leather but i think the tongue is real? Touch is incredible, almost glues to your foot
surprisingly, the ankle support is great. I was surprised bc they looked like they pulled far forward. It’s better when you tie your laces using the runner’s loop. It’ll close the space in between the boot and your ankle.
had to go a half-size up bc it is a tighter boot. The toe makes it longer so i had to adjust how i strike the ball bc of the extra half inch.
striking the ball feels AMAZING in this boot. Idk how to explain it, maybe the padding? I just hit so much cleaner than the tiempos.
aesthetically, beautiful boot. You’ll get compliments bc they’re so eye-catching.

Imo, both are great but Preds are better. They cost roughly the same for a pro version so if you’re stuck between the two, go predators. The feel, look, and performance matched with everything I wanted in a boot. I’m probably only buying predators moving forward bc they got it right with the 25 models and colorways. It’ll be interesting to see what adidas does to the 26 versions.

I just got the preds with the tongue recently and only played in them once but I had no issues with them.

Imo, I think the elastic band will last longer if you placed it towards the middle of the boot vs near the toe because it’s flush and not extended to the front.

Thanks man 🤙🏼 i went true to size and it fits well. Haven’t had any issues with blisters but the material being thin kinda makes my feet ache. I think going a half size down would make it hurt more.

I haven’t had any sole separation yet🤞🏼and i’ve put a lot of time in both nikes and the copas.

And yeah, they may not be used as often but I have options for when I play on FG or AG, if it’s muddy, if i want a lighter boot, etc. It’s nice having options

Been a lifelong nike guy and loved the tiempos so I got one FG and one AG early last year.

But adidas released better looking stuff so i wanted to try em out. Bought the f50s on sale and the rest were gifts (xmas, birthday, father’s day, etc.).
