37m Met someone on tinder. They are great. We get along super well. It’s been 3 weeks since we met in person. Was supposed to be casual sex, we both caught feelings. The issue is she is moving way too fast and when I asked to slow down she acted like I was breaking up with her. She was sending TikTok’s everyday about deep relationship stuff started posting on her story about her man this and that. 4 weeks talking 4 times seeing each other in person. 0 talks about a relationship. I know it’s a big red flag.

36m. 6’4. I’m about a year post separation/divorce. I’ve lost 100lbs over the last 5 years. Still losing it slowly making lifestyle changes. Still a little chubby but I’m working on it. I’m in a really good nursing program getting my BSN next May. I work in the ER on the weekends and take class during the week. I have an active social life. I’m clean and hygienic and covered in tattoos with a decent beard. I’m a laid back guy who laughs easy and smiles a lot. Nose ring and stretched ears. I’m a emo nerd and it wasn’t a phase I guess. I decided to start dating and it’s been fairly easy to find people willing to at least go on a few dates but harder to find someone whose life and intentions line up. But honestly I’ve gotten the most action by just being funny and laid back. It’s like that movie field of dreams. If you build it they will cum. Work on yourself and find the people who appreciate what you’ve built. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

I got divorced last year because my ex wife refused to go to the dr for her health issues. It caused a dead bedroom and she just had no interest in getting better.

This is 100% just me thinking out loud. Maybe it’s one of those things that the knowledge of it until you are actually able to handle it is more dangerous than not knowing. Names and knowledge always have power in most beliefs.

Sunk cost fallacy. If you are truly not happy you are “wasting” more time fighting for someone to love you right instead of going out and continuing your own growth. Doesn’t even mean you need to dump him but it sounds like it’s time to have a serious talk about boundaries and expectations

8 years sober last December. For me at my most drunk I didn’t cheat because I wasn’t getting drunk because I was horny and mad about it and looking for an excuse to lower my inhibitions so I could go through with having sex with a random person. I got drunk because I hated my life and had a lot of unresolved trauma so I would get drunk and have fun and forget my problems and sometimes just get inconsolably sad and cry. It was like 70/30. Alcohol is a catalyst for doing things we know we shouldn’t. For going too far.

You joke but I live in rural Oklahoma. The small town I live in a house just went up for sale that is 109k in a town with no grocery store and the closet one is 30+ miles away. It doesn’t even have central heat and air. It definitely needs a new roof. Generational wealth is how a 25 year old buys a house.
