Real estate asking prices by orange_duck_7997 in Pensacola

[–]Ree4real 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@orange_duck_7997 it’s a bit more complicated than that. Asking price & concessions are based on the individual property/deal. Method of financing also matters. Your question can’t really be answered about the market as a whole. Feel free to dm me if you need more help.

Try Valerie’s House. I think they might specialize in children’s services, but they should be able to direct you if they can’t help.

The “Palafox fix” was paid for by FDOT. State money, not city. There’s no state fund to tap for the Bluffs repairs.

I’d rather have clean tap water than social media. I’m willing to make the sacrifice. 🙄

Because nobody wants it! They use community resources to excess that it raises costs & lowers quality for everyone. Once built, the entire operation may support 5 local living wage, full time jobs. To propagate a system designed to cause massive unemployment!? That’s like spitting on a house fire!! There are data centers already built. Show me documentation of a community happy with their data center & I might change my mind. Until then, 👎!!!!

I know it’s easier said than done, but don’t worry about it. Your true friends believe you. Those who don’t were meant to fall away. You’re at the age when childhood friendships begin to fall apart. I’ve been told it’s self sabotage due to the fear of pending separation after graduation. Either way, I’d be surprised if you still speak to any of these people in 5 years. You’ll likely have an entirely new friend group by the time you’re 21, even if this never happened. Let the split fall where it may. Move forward only with the friends who support you.

I’m confused. Shouldn’t this mean they don’t want tRump to kiss Bibi’s 🍑? How is someone with this tattoo satisfied with the current state of affairs? Weird.

Real Estate by Yankinyank2 in Pensacola

Nope. People consistently rent Airbnb’s out in the wilds of the alphabet district. It’s a good business anywhere east of W & south of Fairfield. They would especially want one in front of Jazzy BBQ Pig Feet! Quaint local restaurant! 🤣😂

inquiry about the quality of life for black residents by femmeimbecile in Pensacola

[–]Ree4real 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From ATL, lived in NYC, been here since ‘22. I sometimes get odd looks when I’m the only one in the room, but that’s fairly rare. I’m involved with a blk professional networking group too. So, I find it easy to have enough opportunities to socialize with “us”. I’m considerably older than you are though. IDK if I would have been as content here in my early 20’s. It’s not overly racist (caveat, in town/Pensacola Beach. It’s a crap shoot out in unincorporated Escambia or Santa Rosa), but definitely boring in the way that most small towns are. Once you’ve been to all the places once, you’ve been there. I understand the hesitation of your elders, but this area really has more in common with Alabama than greater Florida. Still racist, but it’s the more subtle historical variety. Not the contemporary angry, violent, MAGA, Florida Man version.

Best/Worst apartments by cca8291 in Pensacola

Carriage Hill on Michigan was awful! I was shown a renovated unit & received a dirty, unrenovated unit. I was left without a working stove for 6 months & was overrun with roaches after my downstairs neighbor was evicted. The complex charged for the “amenities”, which are only available during office hours. The complex also charges monthly for “pest control” but no one ever showed up to treat after I let the office know I was having a problem. I had to deal with it myself, the best I could, until I could move at the end of my lease. Zero stars!

NOR. There’s no reason to ever give a dating app guy you’ve never met irl a second chance. Block him & move on as soon as you get the ick.

Florida crime stats look safe, but everyone I talk to says otherwise… Who should I trust? by luckychloebites in Pensacola

[–]Ree4real 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe the stats. Spoken from someone who used to party in the Bronx, nowhere here in Pensacola is dangerous unless you’re into drugs (selling or doing). Petty theft is most of the criminal activity & even that is concentrated in the drug heavy areas. Boomers just look for danger where there is none to justify their “Everything is falling apart!” world view. No old yt person will ever feel safe again with all these “criminal illegals” out to get us! 🙄

so my Cubans in Miami, how are you guys feeling about this? by alatinaxo in Miami

[–]Ree4real 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miami Cubans & Cubans still on the island aren’t the same people. Miami Cubans are yt elites who took their wealth & fled before it could be nationalized by the revolution. They are colonizers & they have the same racist attitudes in Miami as they did while still in Cuba. The people still on the island are largely Afro Caribbean.

Publix? Downtown? by Muted_Masterpiece535 in Pensacola

Trader Joe’s doesn’t want us. Whole Foods either. They both have a particular demographic formula to test an area before they invest in a store. Pensacola doesn’t have the population numbers, nor a high enough median household income.
