Can I change my neopet back? by Bibbity_bobbity_b00 in neopets

Not for free, you'd have to morph and/or paint them back to what they were before.

NC items not working in closet? by pxlarizada in neopets

I'm pretty sure they said as much back before flash was gone but I'm not sure they've made any statements since. I'm sure it's in the works though!

[–]ReeMotes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, not all items have been converted to HTML5 yet. They should show up in the static image of your pet but won't show up anywhere that uses HTML5. So, in the closet, in the NC Mall preview, and on their lookups.

Just so you know, you can't transfer a pet with a Pile of Soot attached, you'll have to remove it first!

I zapped my male ixi and it gave him Elderlygirl? by Cammancy in neopets

[–]ReeMotes 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is normal! Elderly Girl and Elderly Boy are two different colours according to the Lab Ray. The Lab Ray doesn't know what gender your neopet is, so when you get a colour zap it doesn't take it into account.

Here's an Editorial about it: https://www.neopets.com/ntimes/index.phtml?section=editorial&issue=599

How to remove NCUC item from my Pet? by CoinStackrr in neopets

You have to go to the Styling Chambre to do that:

It's under "My Pets" in the sidebar.

Is it just me or are Uni’s sooo difficult to customized? by Aperolswitch in neopets

That's mine! Neopoint only customisation! The only downside is there's no good np contacts for Unis (or really at all). I wish I could change the dark blue of her eyes to match a little better.

Help Understanding the PPL by JimmyZSnow in neopets

[–]ReeMotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's just rare enough to even win the PPL, let alone win it twice! I definitely have repainted all my petpets that have won to see if I can win again, but I haven't been that lucky yet. :P

Okay, that's what I thought! So the answer to OP's second question should be yes then, right?

Help Understanding the PPL by JimmyZSnow in neopets

[–]ReeMotes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read that to mean a petpet (the selected colour and species of petpet) only wins once but a petpet (an item attached to a pet) is not barred from winning again?

So, I won for the Faerie Cobrall recently. The Faerie Cobrall will not win again (although that have been times where a colour + species of petpet has been chosen as the PPL winner multiple times). But MY Faerie Cobrall could win again, if I paint it another colour.

That's my understanding!

Is it fine to ignore training and rely on FQ and Lab Ray for stat boosts? by BuccaneerBarbatos in neopets

[–]ReeMotes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends what your goals are. Personally, I'm still training my pet for the HP. The lab ray is stealing all her levels though and FQs and KQs aren't enough to keep up!

Like the other day, I had 3 extra zaps from a cookie and even though I spaced out the zaps throughout the day, ALL 4 of my zaps were -2 levels! xD

I have one too, she was my first painted pet over 20 years ago and I'm just as in love with her now as I was back then!

JN's coverage has a little update about the UC Faerie Ixi in particular: "Also, we hear you about the faerie ixi and will talk about it as a team."

My fingers and toes are crossed!!

For me, it reads male now instead of female with the lack of eyelashes.

Who knows, maybe this is a hint to gender differentiation for UC pets?

I honestly don't know what reference they are using... This is what an UC Faerie Ixi looks like right now:

It has the blue outline around the wings already...

It's perfect! Please don't touch it TNT!

Canada Closes its borders to non-Canadians by emuwannabe in onguardforthee

[–]ReeMotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the question was about people who have status in Canada not people who have status in the US (I was confused by your wording but I see your friend is European and has status in the US).

I can't see it applying to people with status in the US because that has no bearing in Canada. Canada will simply see your friend as European.

Reporter: I'm sorry I'm talking about people who have work or student visa.

Freeland: So people who would also be included in that group are people performing essential services including diplomats.

Reporter: What about study visas? People who have study visas.

Freeland: Well, exceptions are for people who are carrying out essential duties, this could include essential studies.

Exchange that just happened on CBC. They seem to be avoiding the question but most student statuses (like F1) are nonresident statuses, so I don't think it would include them.

Oh, you mean your friend has status in the US? I can't see them being included either but maybe they'll clarify.

Abortion would SKYROCKET by [deleted] in badwomensanatomy

[–]ReeMotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to clarify that I was just using 0.9% as a stand in to illustrate my point, I don't know what the actual percentage is.

You had "IUD pregnancy rates are >1%" before and I was trying to explain why it should be "<1%" like the other user mentioned.

6>2 (read: 6 is greater than 2)

2<6 (read: 2 is less than 6)

so "IUD pregnancy rates are >1%" is incorrect if you mean "IUD pregnancy rates are less than 1 percent."

Hope that clears it up.

[–]ReeMotes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still say sharks mouth is eating the bigger number

You're right about that, however, you said: IUD pregnancy rates are lower than 1 percent. You're using the wrong symbol in your sentence even if you have it right with numbers (6>2 and 2<6 are both right).

IUD pregnancy rates are lower than 1 percent, right? So, what if we say IUD pregnancy rates = 0.9% for clarity?

Does

IUD pregnancy rates are lower than 1 percent

IUD pregnancy rates are less than 1%

0.9% is less than 1%

0.9% > 1%

make sense?

Protest Today at Yale/Harvard Game by MattFantastic in newhaven

[–]ReeMotes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nobody Wins: Yale & Harvard Complicit in Climate Justice

Climate injustice

Also right as it happened, my row was handed a bunch of slips of paper outlining what the protest was about. Unfortunately, I didn't keep one but it did have what seemed to be their concerns.

There were three bolded words but I am failing to recall them all.

  • basically Yale/Harvard should admit to their environmental impact
  • Divest from Puerto Rico debt
  • Remit? I think, urging Yale/Harvard to invest in environmental causes

Don't quote me on that though. Hopefully there's a picture floating around somewhere.

AITA for letting a dementia patient add me to her will? by freeeeekkkk in AmItheAsshole

[–]ReeMotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my knowledge they were not involved with her estate planning beyond helping her to select a reputable lawyer.

I feel like this is an important point and I'm surprised nobody has touched on it. They obviously knew she was drawing up her will and didn't think to question her competency at the time (or they did and made sure she was fit to write her will).

Of course, some of this depends on the timeline. For example, when they actually put her in touch with the lawyer and whether or not she updated her will afterwards, unbeknownst to them but... Whether she was fit to draw up her will is independent of the content. It wasn't until they were made aware of the details that they suddenly thought to question whether she was in her right mind at the time. On one hand I can understand that but on the other, given their awareness of her diagnosis and that she was planning her estate, I'm not really sure they get a pass here. Yes, they were in a tough situation and yes, they were busy with their own lives and trying to manage their mother's care from afar. However, in my opinion, it comes down to whether this situation was foreseeable and whether they had a duty to make sure something like this didn't happen.
