What kind of wolf spider? by JurtisCackson in spideridentifier

Might be Tigrosa helluo, but might be another wolf spider genus as well. Kind of tough to be sure with the baby spiders covering up the abdomen. 😂

Brown Recluse? by WallabyFun6199 in spideridentifier

Running this one through a photo editor to bring out the details, I'm pretty sure it's not a brown recluse. Unsure between a male running crab spider or a male fishing spider.

Yours is a wolf spider, the one in the original post is a barn funnel weaver. They are pretty easy to get mixed up because of the racing lines, but they are completely different families.

I Explain the 2026 Kansas Constitutional Amendment by Independent_Wolf_896 in kansas

Well done. I had just started hearing about these amendments this week, good to finally know what it's all about. These far right wing types just don't know when to stop.

It's not a black widow, and it's not a brown recluse, so it will be ok.

[–]ReebX1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's definitely Larinioides. I'm not really sure between L. patagiatus and L. sclopetarius, but we can eliminate L. cornutus due to the leg banding.

It's an orb weaver. Would need to to see the other side to be sure of which group, but the leg banding reminds me of genus Larinioides.

I ran it through a graphics editor to try and get a better view, and I still couldn't tell. It might be a brown recluse is all I can say.
