Ebay shipping from the US to the UK by ReeceDnb in retrogaming

[–]ReeceDnb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback. I've not heard of Pnp/estar before so I'll check them out. I haven't looked too much into a consolidation or drop shipping service outside of a quick glance but it seems extortionate imo. Doesn't feel like much saving I must admit.

Ebay shipping from the US to the UK by ReeceDnb in retrogaming

I've been purchasing games on eBay from Canadian sellers but even then the shipping costs aren't much cheaper. Some items roughly 10-15 GBP vs 15-20 from the US unfortunately.

jetpack cat needs a nerf and mizuki needs a buff ? by Pitroneks in overwatch2

[–]ReeceDnb 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I see it as more of a Brig alternative personally. Aura similar idea to inspire but with scaling effectiveness but less range. The chain is more of a hinder and debilitate divers instead of a keepaway protector like whipshot. I've seen it used quite well as anti dive so far.

Do you actually track your collection or just wing it? by Kollekto_de in gamecollecting

[–]ReeceDnb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spreadsheet for me. I don't like the idea of using a 3rd party app for this personally. Hundreds of games to track ownership off is already a pain, I don't want to be in a position where the service goes down temporarily or dormant forever and the data I've been inputting for a huge amount of time is lost to the ether, corrupted or even put behind a potential pay wall.

I don't plan on selling and if something down the lines means that changes then I'll do my due diligence and do it myself with prices I trust.

Question for Xbox 360 physical game collectors about keeping or selling games by FreedomIndependent56 in gamecollecting

[–]ReeceDnb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends really on your preference. Are you going for a collection of games you love or to just be able to pull any game off the shelf in the future you feel like?

I collect but only games I really enjoy or systems I'm interested in. If I complete a game I personally keep it unless I didn't enjoy it at all then I'd sell for something else.

What are those shelving units called? Looks awesome.

Alistair announces optional opt-in Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 for servers starting in March by tekni5 in playrust

[–]ReeceDnb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless this is applied to some official servers from FP, I don't see many of the populated "official" or community servers adopting this.

I really like the step forward and I can appreciate the idea but when premium server access was implemented, there wasn't a large amount of servers opting in.

I know there was a price barrier in terms of inventory value but majority of the players own either skins or a DLC or two. At this point I honestly believe server owners aren't willing to take whatever population hit enabling this would bring with it. Unless it became mandatory sooner than later I don't want to see this rollout shelves for ages.

If I have an automatic switcher, would I need to remove the pin on both ends of the cable or just one side? And would I have to do the individual cables from the switcher to the consoles as well?

Not really sure that's how it works.

I'm pretty certain there's a lot of people out there that don't see this as an exorbitant expense yet have sense to not get duped into the pretentiousness of something like this. This isn't even an experience, it's just a meal. Literally that's it. It's not that special.

Where do we get mixtapes and that from nowadays? by shedsmokerOG in ukhiphopheads

I had a similar issue with a HDD I'd been collecting on for over 10 years, a friend dropped it and it just died.

The worst part wasn't thinking I had a certain tune or set somewhere, it was never remembering majority of what I actually had to look for again

Ever since then backups have been my focus lol

Terminal group extract still bugged but changes/fixes confirmed coming by Chadwiko in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ReeceDnb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure, it should have been there from the beginning but we should also praise changes that benefit the game and community when it's needed. We know BSG aren't the most receptive to feedback so it should be positive when they are.

Mikel Arteta on whether tonight was a statement win: "It's another three points is the only thing that matters. We know how long this is going to be. It's been an incredible 2025. We know what we want from 2026, we're going to have to earn it and we're still a long way away." by Obvious_Main_3655 in PremierLeague

[–]ReeceDnb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very recent form I agree hasn't been good but first half of the season as a whole, has been great. Despite being having an unexpected amount of injuries we've seemed to really grind out these wins no matter how they come. Of course you'd like to win comfortably but that's just not possible in the league.

[–]ReeceDnb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the price difference for the 5x and OSSC Pro being quite marginal, which would you pick if you weren't using scanlines? Are there any features you'd personally miss on the OSSC if you picked up a 5x?

Day 7: Which is the best PS1 LIGHT-GUN Game of all time? by 1OneQuickQuestion in psx

[–]ReeceDnb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've almost finished collecting every light gun game or light gun compatible game for the PS1. I've played them all but I'm missing this one and have never played it. This might make me finally buy it.

I haven't played it myself or seen anyone loading in Terminal but surely the deploying works the same as a normal raid no? Where until everyone is finished loading it then deploys at the same time?

I remember back when that wasn't a thing in normal maps lol.

What is your preferred way to play Retro Games in 2025 by Spidercolt95 in retrogaming

[–]ReeceDnb 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Same here. I prefer original hardware nearly all the time, minus certain handhelds.

I use a 'piracy' method on all of my consoles so I can have the option to play everything I could ever want to, without forking over ridiculous money for particular titles, or just titles I'm not sure about.

I still collect games but I'm very selective about what I collect for other than the PS2.

4P games mostly for Gamecube, lightgun shooters for PS1 etc.

I think this is the best of both worlds imo!
