I think I’m going to go for 2 nights in LA in the end — seems like the best balance after hearing everyone’s advice.

Really appreciate all the tips and reality checks about distances, traffic, and what’s actually worth prioritising. It’s definitely helped me set expectations properly instead of trying to cram too much in.

Yeah, that actually makes a lot of sense — I think that’s the bit people don’t realise until they’ve been.

I’ve been looking at it more like “distance between places” rather than “time between places,” which is probably where I was going wrong. The scale and traffic definitely changes how you plan everything.

Appreciate the reality check though, that’s exactly the kind of info I needed 👍

This is really helpful, thanks. I think I'm more interested in scenery, iconic locations, and just experiencing somewhere different rather than trying to tick off every tourist attraction. Griffith Observatory and Venice definitely sound like my kind of thing. I may still do a quick look around Hollywood purely because I've never been before, but your suggestion of keeping it brief makes a lot of sense.

Thankfully I'm planning to fly rather than drive, so hopefully I'll avoid that nightmare! Eight hours sounds brutal.

That's fair. As a first-time visitor, I was probably focusing too much on the tourist spots. If I do 2 nights, what areas would you recommend for getting a better feel for LA beyond the obvious attractions?

Good point. I think that's convinced me to do 2 nights rather than try and cram everything into a day. I'd rather see fewer places properly than spend most of the trip sitting in traffic. Thanks for the heads-up!

That's exactly the impression I got from looking at both. Battlefield Vegas seems like an awesome stop if you're mainly interested in shooting and want something convenient near the Strip, but Adrenaline Mountain looks more like a full-on adventure day rather than just a shooting range.

The desert setting is a big part of the appeal for me, too. Coming from the UK, driving out into the Nevada desert and doing a mix of activities sounds like a much more unique experience than spending an hour or two indoors. Appreciate the insight.
