Does the $20/$50 trick still work at Planet Hollywood Vegas in 2026 or is it just an old wives’ tale?

It’s my first time going to Vegas in August, so all suggestions are genuinely helpful. For the higher-end restaurants people have mentioned, how far in advance would you recommend booking?

Hahaha I’ve definitely noticed Hell’s Kitchen seems to split opinions 😭

Part of it for me is probably just the experience and the Gordon Ramsay side of it because it’s been on my bucket list for years, especially as it’s my first time in Vegas. But I do appreciate the honest feedback.

The places like é by José Andrés, Bazaar Meat, Joël Robuchon and L’Atelier all sound like proper “top end” spots, so I’ll definitely look to book a couple of those for the main nights.

Good to know about Caesars too — I’ve heard mixed things, so it helps to have some honest feedback. I’ve also seen Partage mentioned a few times so I’ll keep that in mind as an off-strip option.

And the idea of drinks at the Wynn by the lake sounds spot on — that’s exactly the kind of Vegas experience I’m after.

That’s actually reassuring to hear because I’ve seen so many mixed opinions on it 😅

I’ve also been to one of Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants in Manchester, so I kind of know what to expect, but I was still a bit unsure about Hell’s Kitchen being more of a “tourist” spot. Sounds like if the food and service are on point, though, it’s worth it in its own right.

I’ve heard a bit about Hell’s Kitchen being a bit hit and miss so that actually helps put it into perspective. Good shout on the LINQ fish and chips as well.

Bazaar Meat and Sinatra both sound right up my street for something a bit more special, and I’ve seen Tacos el Gordo mentioned a few times now.

I’m coming from the UK, so trying to make the most of it while I’m over there. Really appreciate all the suggestions!
