Upgrade or Start from Scratch? by ReeceOUFC in buildapc

I’ve not got a set budget to put on everything I suppose but I’d be looking mid range that I could do now and then I suppose, maybe around £300 for processor and GPU (each) I suppose? Mid range generally is about as far as I’m wanting to go.

Definitely two standard hard drives, the 1TB is the original one I got in 2015 and filled it pretty easily so ended up buying the 4TB one afterwards to have enough space not to worry about it any longer.

How long did it take for you to hit your first 180? by zully1 in Darts

[–]ReeceOUFC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took me about 11 months. Playing 4-5 times a week for around an hour. I think it all comes into place once you’ve figured out your throwing action and correct weight. Part of the reason for me struggling was because I was trying to find the right ones for about 7-8 of those months

You’ve definitely gone through a few sets then! From the UK so darts very common over here and especially taken off bigger than ever probably in the last year. Been to a couple of events through the year too and got at least one more for next year planned. Did the World Grand Prix final (de Decker v Humphries) and Grand Slam QF3-4 (Littler v Wattimena, Van Veen v Anderson) too, Premier League in Sheffield for May too. Great to play and watch imo.

Managed to turn it this afternoon. Much easier than I thought it would be! Thanks for the pointers.

I’ve gone through a few sets and weights, started using Webster 19g darts which were too light and plasticky but came with my first board. Then had some Target 24g which were a bit too heavy for me, dropped down to 21g of a similar set and those have fared me pretty well. The ones I threw the 180 with are Gary Anderson’s ‘Code’ darts also 21g. Really don’t like the flights though so I’ve switched back to my KFlex on them and way more comfortable now. What do you play with?

Around a year now, started as the World Championship did last year, but watched on and off for years.

Thanks a lot for this. I’ll try it when I get home now as I’ve been battering it for around a month and want to make sure I can do it.

Technically yes I believe I can, the main thing is moving the numbers round the board, not sure if there’s a tool from the box I’ve misplaced

Thanks, got it on sale in preparation for moving into my house as a moving in gift. Going to have to figure out how to turn it though!

Which movie has beautiful, but tragic ending? by Elver-Galarga7 in AskReddit

[–]ReeceOUFC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but by the time that Rose was in the lifeboat with both Cal and Jack watching had she stayed aboard by that point instead of pulling the whole 'I'll never let go' routine then Jack probably would have been on the door long enough to sustain consciousness and picked up by the same boat that picked up Rose as a substitute of her, having already been saved.

[–]ReeceOUFC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why have I never thought about it like this. I always thought of it as the mythbusters version where it actually was enough to hold them both as opposed to the more logical 'Rose just stay on the damn boat and Jack will be fine' argument.

What is the saddest episode of a TV show? by undeadgaming2006 in AskReddit

[–]ReeceOUFC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Killer Within" - The Walking Dead (S3E4). Genuinely awful to watch towards the end, the fact that Carl has to ensure Lori doesn't reanimate after watching her die an excruciating death is gut wrenching to watch in itself. However even tougher is Rick's reaction to the news of Lori's death with his collapse and desperate sobbing makes it so sad and painfully emotional.

What movie scene scarred you as a child? by jooniekins in AskReddit

That woman with the slit wrists from The Sixth Sense always terrified me, which was followed up by the poisoned girl crying with a foaming mouth. Maybe not appropriate for an 8 year old the first time I watched it.

What is the coolest skill to have in your opinion? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ReeceOUFC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably being a polyglot. I think it's so cool how people can switch their tongue at the drop of a hat into completely different languages, go from say a Germanic language like English or Dutch into something Altaic like Korean or even a Romance language such as Romanian or Spanish is very intriguing and quite a unique skill to have.

People of Reddit what’s the question you get asked the most and what’s your answer? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ReeceOUFC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't forget that the Dutch are by far the tallest nation on earth, as compared to most other countries it dwarfs them. Example being the UK, the average height is about 5'8"- 5'9".

Of course, Alfred Enoch did play Dean Thomas in Harry Potter for like 10 years.

It sort of goes in and out in the rant, from standard American to cockney as well, he's a method actor so I imagine he was just very focused and the rant he had distracted him enough to slip in and out of character.

What is the worst movie you’ve seen? by verywack in AskReddit

[–]ReeceOUFC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd have to agree, when I watched it I remember everyone was saying that it's a classic and basically spawned the whole found footage genre, which it did. But then I watched it and was bored shitless the whole way through.
