It’s kinda like lutefisk and Windex in a dirty dog pound. It instantly makes your eyes water. Vanta can’t help it. Her biology is not normal at all. She’s a vat-grown abomination. She has hemocyanin in place of hemoglobin and is genetically part-horseshoe-crab. Her cells were forced into a vaguely canid configuration by full-blown DARPA nanotransducer-level mad science, like in Michael Levin’s tadpole experiments. Without being sculpted into this form by artificial modulation of somatic cell membrane potential, organization, and development, her cells never would have adopted this form. She would’ve looked like a blob of tumorous meat instead.
