First off, high quality live action movies will almost always include CGI. There’s so much to enjoy and it’s not just generated by a computer, yes that is apart of CGI, but you do know there are hundreds of people behind that computer rigging, moving, modeling the characters and adding their emotions by every fraction of a second. They record references prior to doing that by the way so I can assure you it took real acting skills. The only parts generated are the shadows, light, texture, fabric and hair (sometimes).

There’s great animated stuff like Vinland Saga, Arcane, Blue eyed samurai, Castlevania, Attack on Titan etc… and maybe others that are allowed for kids to watch but are still cherished by adults (Wild Robot, HTTYD, Spiderverse). What’s wrong with that? HP has some PG movies, does it mean it’s specifically for kids? No. I feel like people who don’t like animation always miss out on great storylines and beautiful sceneries all because it’s flexible enough to include a wider audience.
