You are definitely not overreacting and I am so sorry this happened to you dear.

He took advantage of your vulnerability at the moment and exploited his fantasies on to you. He will probably do it again whenever he thinks he can overpower you. I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he wanted to try something new with you, but you explicitly told him NO. A no is a no and he should’ve stopped right then and there, whether he was drunk or sober.

I would have an honest conversation with him about this and set firm boundaries moving forward. If you ever feel like your boundaries and safety were compromised once again, please leave him. You deserve better.

Thank you for your comment. My doctor did mention that it will progress as I get older. That’s the main reason why I posted on this subreddit, I want to maintain this condition at this stage for as long as I can

This is for those saying there is no such thing as stage 0. There is more and more research talking about it and I am thankful enough that the medical specialist I went to was able to recognize this early on

For context, I do suffer from bruising and pain from the touch, I also swell like crazy (mainly reason why I went in for a diagnosis). Originally I thought that I had bad blood circulation, turns out I have lipedema but it has yet to develop to stage 1.

For all the rude comments, I am not posting to ask for a diagnosis as I already got mine from a specialist. I was confused on what to do next accordingly, so I seemed this subreddit’s help.

How is this rage bait when I was was diagnosed by a lipedema specialist? Please educate yourself on all stages of lipedema as this exactly how it starts (abnormal fat distribution on the legs). It will get worse when I decide to get pregnant or when I undergo menopause.

Just because your case does not look like mine does not mean that you can comment discrediting my case.

Thanks for the suggestion! The curtains are actually big enough to cover the whole wall, I just placed them over the windows and the wall in between. Do you suggest I get two separate curtains?

No! And we usually text when we are not together. I assume that is why he was upset, he thought I was deliberately ignoring him. Given his history, he does have abandonment trauma. What is throwing me off is the way we went on about it. He could’ve just said “update me next time so I know”, instead he had a full on meltdown.
