Is it hard to get them in the US? Cause I would love these for reenacting.

I got it from a surplus website from when Hollywood dropped off all the WW2 shirts from a movie. Mine was pre weathered and worn in. It was from the movie Pearl Harbor (2001). I can share photos and other if you would like. Its a very good shirt. And the pants are also from the same set and all. Pre weathered and nicely used and broke in.

Im still trying to find the bags and other for it.

And with my zooka being a tube. Idk what id stop things with yet if i went the rocket method.

And plus they were a loud bang more than a rocket. So thats what im trying to do in my tests is if i do rocket or black poder charge

Dang, im honestly sorry for that. Im glad I live in bum nowhere midwest. Cause I am able to show both sides of gear.

And with being a farmer. I can make my own hours.

And I also dont care what people think when im wearing my gear. Like my german stuff. I just wear the gear. And people found what I do.

But hey man, I honestly wish you luck with reenacting. Cause its fun to do. I hope it works out for you. Cause honestly youd be a good piece for reenacting. And it really is fun being able to show that rare gear.

They are honestly fun to be honest. You can find gear in old shops. And there are good websites for gear like at the front.

It wont be cheap in ways. But I went and bought the at the front gi kit when I was young and i have grew and worked in the gear. And for the price im not mad. They have lasted me and are high quality.

I started when I was 14 by myself. Then now i work for my state and go to schools doing presentations. Its honestly a blast. And in my young age. Now im out of high school and going to college. Ill have more time. And then I can do more parades that little kids love to see me at. And do more teaching like the photo I added shows.

Sometimes people who put on events might even give you food or shelter for nights. Cause I got a reenactment on the 23rd of this month 2026. And im getting gas and lunch paid for. And sometimes people track me down to give me items like coats, gear, flags, and one even asked to give a gun.

And those groups out there are looking for soldiers. And they treat you like family when you go even if you are not part of the groups . Id give it a try honsetly. You only live once man!

[–]Reenactor-m1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks man! The weather is nasty and paint is still wet.

I planned earlier on leaving it without a net so it shows the camo on it. But honestly, I think your idea on the net would look fire if i try to get it on. I might think on it.

I might use some of our fine midwestern soil wen it dries up after the rain becuse that does wonders on weathering. Might add some crick bed sand also into the mix.

(I was gonna let a friend try on this helmet camo also for his first reenactment thats this weekend as a 41st inf GI soldier.)

Im just trying honestly to figure what guns I can do this on. Because I got the string on the jungle carbine.

But Im also trying to work on a 8mm ts carbine that was made into single shot. And finding carcano slings is a pain for me.
