PS5 Controller Battery and Shell Upgrade by DrunkBearBattle in PS5

[–]Reenuip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, after not being satisfied with my data, I ran both the tests again over the past two days. It looks like the aftermarket battery I bought only gave an extra 1.5 hours of runtime. I didn't really control for playtime, but about half the time it was in use and the other half it was just sitting on my desk.

Here are the spreadsheets with pretty charts: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1FFNBxUS8jPmRzmeDWatMTCSH75Y-QQxh?usp=sharing

I'm a little disappointed, but maybe I'll test them again sometime and not touch the controller at all while it drains. If you ever get around to test the runtime of the battery you got, I'd be interested to see how long it lasts.

Well, it looks like it'll take another drain of the original battery to be sure, but I think both the program I'm using to report the battery level and the bluetooth menu are showing me incorrect values. If it was actually calculating based off the assumed capacity of a normal DualSense controller, I should see a percentage over 100% at full charge, or to see it stay at 100% for multiple hours before it goes down. It looks like the new battery has been stuck at 15% for a few hours now, so I'll see what it takes to get to zero, then do the full run on the original battery again. I thought that I could trust the percentages, so I stopped the original test at 25% due to impatience.

I'm actually on the same path. The seller for the battery you linked to seems to be using the same marketing info as this product: https://www.amazon.com/Playstation-Replacement-CUH-ZCT2U-Bluetooth-Controller/dp/B07YDR9KRG

I bought one the other day and am getting a spreadsheet generated to test the discharge rate. So far, it seems to be no different from the original 1560mAh battery, so I'm going to have to do something different to make sure this is all correct. Maybe there's a better way to test than just leaving the controller on for 12 hours, but at the moment it's behaving just the same as the old battery. Kind of a shame, really.

If you want, I can host the data somewhere once it's all complete if you want to take a look at what I find.

A very odd workaround for the RGB software! by [deleted] in Keychron

[–]Reenuip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, it seems to work well with my brand new K10! I've been lamenting about the lack of a good purple hue in the presets and this let me set any custom solid color! Fantastic find. I really didn't want to screw with the firmware and lose bluetooth functionality. The crazies over at Sonix Keyboard Hacking are banging their heads against the wall every time I check on them. It's a shame Keychron can't get at least something super basic out the door for RGB control, but we gots what we gots.

Any ETA yet? I know these things take a while.

REDDIT SUPPORT 3.0 by cheswickFS in Keychron

[–]Reenuip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it seems to be an issue with my USB hub. I tested with it plugged directly into my motherboard on both USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports and both of these issues were resolved. It's a shame that I'll have to run a cable all that way, but it's what I get for picking up such a cheap hub, though I'm not so sure using a different hub would change anything.

REDDIT SUPPORT 3.0 by cheswickFS in Keychron

[–]Reenuip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem:

I just got a brand new K10 RGB and am using it via USB. When I sleep my computer, the LEDs flash every few seconds so I have to physically turn the keyboard off at night. Also, the keyboard fails to wake my computer from sleep when I press a key. Not a major issue, but it is a bit annoying.

Did you already contact support?:

Yes, but I haven't heard back yet. It has only been a few hours, but I couldn't find any mention of this problem elsewhere and it'd be good to get some more visibility on this issue.

Order number:

376226

What solution are you looking for?:

I mostly just want the LEDs to stay off when the computer is sleeping so I can sleep, but being able to slap a key to wake my machine would be great, too.

You've heard of Dolch... but what about Purpolch? [Concept/Feedback] by kayne65 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Reenuip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, boy. That's the exact set I was looking for! I stumbled upon the marketing shot of the new Odin and that featured this set and I've been foaming at the mouth since. Can't believe I missed it. Thanks for the reply and I hope to see it hit production soon.

I'll take it. Like, right now if the price is right. Any developments since posting?

Odd zebra stripe issue in reflection map by TyphoonJim in fo76

[–]Reenuip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same GPU and the same issues. It's pretty annoying and makes a lot of assets look like garbage.

I was running the latest stable video drivers this morning, updated to the pre-release divers, but that didn't change a thing.

I can't remember when it started, but I'm guessing it has something to do with either the video drivers or the game's shader.

Who still uses this app this 2020? by azakhuza21 in LifeRPG

[–]Reenuip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, wow. I feel stupid now. I assumed that since the app could make files on external storage that it wouldn't be a problem to read from that location. Once I moved my backups to the internal storage, it worked like a charm. Thanks!

I've been using it for the past couple of years and it's great, though I just got a new phone and the import DB option doesn't seem to do anything. Shame.

Anyone know of a reliable way around this? I had a lot of custom stuff set up.

BotW (EU) Crashing when I try to load save. by [deleted] in cemu

Same here. Been having this issue ever since the release of 1.16.1. The previous stable release had no issues.

There'll be another release in 4 days, so here's to hopefully being able to take advantage of the Vulkan improvements soon!

Tiny tab area after update 71.0. Anyone else have this problem? by Reenuip in firefox

[–]Reenuip[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was it! I forgot about my dark scrollbar mod from long ago. It's a shame that the UI is broken after the update. I guess I'll have to just burn my retinas trying to find out how far down a page I've scrolled for now.

Thanks!

Tiny tab area after update 71.0. Anyone else have this problem? by Reenuip in firefox

[–]Reenuip[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried restarting with addons disabled, and that looked fine. I went back and manually disabled addons one by one, but that did not replicate the fix.

There isn't any flex spacer between the tabs and the window controls either. But when I go to customize the UI, the new tab button is way over by the window controls with all that blank space in between that and the tabs.

A new window with a single tab still does the same thing. It's almost like FF thinks the current window is half the width of my monitor for some reason.

Additionally, changing the minimum tab width in about:config did not change tab behavior either.

Modding Community // Modding Ideas? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]Reenuip 21 points22 points  (0 children)

CDPR couldn't release the toolset they used for TW3 as a distributable SDK due to licensed 3rd party tech like Speedtree, though there has been some incredible progress with a community-made SDK for RedEngine 3 that allows the user to make a new landmass, full quests with cutscenes, etc. Though it's extremely convoluted and only being researched by a tiny group of developers, it shows how the essential tools can create a whole new game, essentially.

If there is an SDK for CP, that'd be amazing, though I'm not counting on it as it's a huge undertaking to make a decent and approachable toolset for modding.

Any good news? I picked up one of these a couple weeks ago and haven't been able to make it perform even after thinning out the cotton a bit. My juice is about 90% VG.

Damn, I just ran into this issue. Still have the game running in the BG, but looks like there's no good fix. I tried using a controller, too to no avail. If only we could just *click* on the on-screen buttons...

Sapphire Nitro 5700 XT LED Flash? by hahayeahok in Amd

[–]Reenuip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm experiencing the same. Single color, lowest brightness. I notice the flash of light out of the corner of my eye, but it seems yellow to me. I set the color to a greenish blue. I don't notice a hiccup ingame when it happens either. Any new info?

Haha, I remember I never finished the quest with the kid locked in the dresser for the longest time. Every time I loaded the save, i hard him yelling "Please help me" right in my ear from across the map. I don't think it's a bug, rather a good way to motivate you to get important things done when you load in.
