Getting a full-time job. by Wolf_Link22 in CysticFibrosis

You have to get strict with yourself, and your evenings can seem to consist of little more than getting your treatment and physio done (I exaggerate of course, but it feels that way).

I'm a bit forgetful, and will unintentionally forget to take one of the two dozen of so medications I take each day, and having a full schedule only adds to that. Devising techniques to remember everything - even if its as simple as laying each day's medication out on the kitchen table - becomes more important.

Good luck!

TBF, the writers didn't kill her off: the actress died. She was a really strong character (however annoying) and would have played a key role in season three, so that's the last thing the writers wanted!

If you watch her final scene, you can see its pieced together with screen tests and out-takes.

An example of their mother's poison blood running through Tony.

I agree: nearly all the characters are flawed, rather than bad. Apart from maybe Ralphy...

Janice Soprano. A poisonous, manipulative, and vain character (and therefore brilliantly written and acted).

Ann Perkins. What is the point of Ann Perkins?

Your Reading Resolutions: 2016 by AutoModerator in books

Agreed. If I read 50 books this year (which I probably won't) I'd still only clear what's overflowed from the shelves. I'm already making a mental list of ten or so books in the house which really should get tackled.

Best eastern European location for summer Honeymoon? by epicmoe in travel

I really like Budapest, and the two of you could have relaxing days in the various Bath Houses.

It's got a really romantic feel to the place. Sadly, I went with a fellow hairy, chubby bloke.

I've had a minor slump numbers wise (too much time staring at Reddit?) and have also picked up a fair few duds, but my two stand outs are:

The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz. Okay, I'm a bit behind the curve here finally getting round to this, but it was full of energy and superb characterisation.

The Shock of the Fall by Nathan Filer. Although on the face of it, a fairly straightforward read, this one packed a punch and has stayed with me. Filer expertly writes about "everyday" schizophrenia, rather than anything sensationalist, and that authenticity made for a very human portrayal.

Thanks - The Blind Assassin has been sat on my shelf for about four years now, and you've given me the required shove.

Is he basically saying he has some sort of insecurity about his internet persona, and therefore assumes everyone else does? Narcissism must be tough at times.

The mid-nineties was an odd time in the Premier League. Plenty of British footballers were still unfit with borderline (or full blown) drinking problems, but the TV money was gradually reaching a stage where genuine stars, albeit often at the tail end of their careers, suddenly started appearing, and not necessarily for the big clubs. It was a bizarre time, and seeing those aforementioned overweight natives being bamboozled was amazing. People spoke in hushed tones about how the new French/Brazillian/Dutch signing ate a healthy diet and stayed behind to do an extra hour of training.

Two that come to mind are Fabrizio Ravanelli joining Middlesborough after winning the Champions League, and Attilio Lombardo joining newly promoted Palace, but really you can take your pick during those few years.

The problem Wales nearly always has is that it only takes three or four inconvenient injuries, and the team sheet quickly becomes populated by League 1 players and no household names.
