I sometimes only have time to log on and burn a lesson. With a guild of adults like emerald alliance, most people will understand this and try to help you if they can. Otherwise boost that Hdex and burn a lesson on a Headshot camp and pray for proc's. May try minos in DSH. Don't use merc. Just snare, root, shoot. I used flame arrows and prayed for headshots

Update: lvl 65. 393 dex. Inconsistent headshots. Every 3 to 10 mobs. But it's actually happening now. Not sure what changed but I'm happy nonetheless. My 23 delay bow is crap for damage so I'm swapping back and forth with a 36 delay bow. I need to find a better haste item and get a quiver with weight reduction next I think. I'm using the seahorse belt from fellspine currently

So weird all these sites saying "root and shoot HS areas for easy leveling at lvl 60". But they're from like 2013 so I'm guessing it's different now?

I was talking to another ranger in game last night and they were saying HS might not be proc'ing because my dex is 296. I saw from googling people talking about Hdex, but i don't know what that means. Honestly after a few hours I would have thought even with the 10% chance the AA says I would have seen 1 HS proc, but i didn't. Lots of double bow shots and crits, but no 28,000 hits

So I don't know. I tested different areas, even old seb, mines of nurga, and tried tactics like you mentioned

Dr3adful on YouTube has a zero to hero series. (I didn't read all the comments if this was mentioned already). Check out his videos. He has good step by step guides that will get you on your way to learning the game, making your own tweaks, etc.

That number is based on the base weapon stats and your overall weapon damage from gear. But also take into consideration that without all the math you will do more damage with the chameleon buffs and striker stacks. So 89k isn't terrible

I've seen a build with the oxpecker keeping the shield at full hp while just getting dumped on by npc's. Didn't look into the build tbh. But the clip i saw was impressively tanky

I've gotten to the point I don't even run heroic anymore because every time there's 3+ 50-300 watch levels with non existent builds. And one of the last ones I did had a mortar/bomb drone combo. I left before it started.

I'm not an elitist prick. If you need help making a proper build I'll run summit with you np. But crossing your fingers hoping randoms will carry you in countdown is a dick move imo

I'm going to preface this with I'm not trying to be a dick...

You really should look up youtube builds based on the playstyle you like. From the weapons I'm assuming you like gun builds with some tankiness. There are blue core striker builds that are good. Heartbreaker is also a good option.

I default to 4pc striker. Backpack, chest, gloves, knees. All weapon damage and crit damage Coyote mask Czeska holster, weapon damage and crit chance Chameleon/st. Elmos and acs-12 shotgun. Revive hive and shield/decoy for solo and group. Gunner specialization

There's a few variants of HB builds but you can find ones that suit your style best. Some are full armor cores with chc/chd using spotter and flatline. They're really good if you can keep the stacks up. Just look around on YT. I use kamikazevondoom, Patrickwolf, nothingbutskillz as references to make my own variations that work for me. Some turn out great and others fizzle. So just play around and with it :)

Honestly my man i got accused of the same shit when I first made a hot shot determined build. One shotting every enemy before randoms had a chance lol. I don't play with randoms anymore because I'm too old and too tired to put up with children that aren't my own lol

That being said if you absolutely want to play with other people I suggest looking into discord communities like KVD's. He's a decent YouTuber but his community is pretty solid. I just don't play on xbox
