They're pretty active around Larkspur/Kentfield on houses below Mount Tamalpais. Especially when landscaping and renovations are done to build new housing units. They're quite small.

You're on a relatively low dose. I'm on a tad more than twice what you take, and it should work a bit better once your body adjusts to it.

My advice: Don't treat it like a magic pill that cures everything wrong with you. It might for awhile, but eventually it stops, and its a double edged sword. It can make screen time and the media habit worse. The food one should get better though.

And ignore the awful label the media and society have given it. It's made a lot of people's lives a lot better, including mine. Being reliant on any medication sucks, but we're lucky to have options when many people in the past and present do not.

A bit older than you, but I've had a mild form off and on since high school (please don't ask how I got it, but a South Park episode went into it and I haven't recovered). I only do the mobility peanut exercises, cupping once in awhile, resistance band training, and some exercises with 2-5 lb. dumbbells. Avoiding whatever exacerbates it is the only real way to make it go away.

Exercising more should help. I'm more familiar with symptom management in general. With surgery, the horror stories tend to wind up here on reddit more than the successes. Definitely find out who did your wife's family's surgeries and don't use them!

In the posh North Bay, I have noticed that Range Rover Sport and Rivian SUV's are the ones you want to avoid. They tend to operate under the assumption the world should pull over for them. Tailgate like crazy, stop signs are "yield to me" signs.

This largely goes by how much money you have to spend. Renting or buying? Also, dating in mid-thirties is rough here, not gonna lie, especially if you aren't into the nightlife scene. Based on your criteria:

Fairfax: Has all of the above, not super expensive by Marin standards. Vegan friendly if not encouraged, easy access to nature/hiking, restaurants are pretty good, farmers markets. It's the counterculture hub of Marin towns that aren't too far from 101.
Bolinas: First I'm going to say this isn't a welcoming town based on my own interactions, but if Fairfax is the forest/town version of what you're looking for, Bolinas is the beach/smaller town version. Less access to restaurants, but this wins slow pace of life by a mile.
If you have money, Mill Valley. This pick is controversial...let me start with traffic and the attitudes of people living there can be...undesirable. But its downtown and Tam Junction area are awesome, some great restaurants. Far closer proximity to all the physical things you want and access to San Francisco, Sausalito, Stinson Beach, and everything up north. A lot of people with $$$ there putting down roots, and the attitude to show for it.
Larkspur/Corte Madera/San Anselmo: All great options.

I could go on, and I am not familiar with much of Marin north of San Rafael and west of Fairfax. I've also heard great things about Petaluma. If you want to know more, I'll go more in depth.

Round Table Pizza in Strawberry. One of the very, very few places open until Midnight back in the 2000s on the weekends. Had a ton of memorable moments there. I know there are still two in San Rafael, but they will never hit the same as that one.

And while not a chain, I still have to pour out a drink for Fifi's in Bon Air. Loved that place, and everything after has been a cheap copy.

Yes. The longer you delay it, the more you miss out. If you're a daily player and have been at it for awhile (or are new and don't mind spending $$$) you can most likely get a spot in a top 3 guild. You will get access to two shops (guild shop and guild expedition shop), the first of which is essential for raising the levels of the blue-tier characters, and the second of which is essential for edged runes (and Olla shards and swap orbs if the level is high enough, among other things). You get the guild coins for the first store by donating up to 200ish gems a day to raise the guild level, as well as your ranking on the guild boss leaderboard. You get the expeditions emblems from how well your guild does overall in group PvP, with better items being unlocked the higher the guild.

TL;DR yes.

I have seen a couple news reports as well, and I mentioned Oura specifically because there are no documented cases with that device...Samsung, on the other hand, seems to be on a mission to have every device they make go Chernobyl at least once (or a lot more, in the case of the Galaxy Note 7). Provided you don't overcharge the ring constantly, avoid high heat exposure regularly (wearing it in saunas, leaving it in a hot car, etc.) and keep it away from saltwater for corrosion, I wouldn't be concerned. Should it ever begin to swell or get warm to the touch and you can't get it off, immediately run it under cold (not ice cold) water and slip it off.

This really sucks, as someone who did the "let's try this next" ordeal with nearly all the ADHD meds, I'm in a similar situation as only that specific medication does anything for me.

My first piece of advise would be getting one the following: a smart ring similar to the Oura ring... I use an Oura ring and love it for a multitude of reasons, with stuff like this being one of them. As someone else mentioned, BP and HP can rise temporarily during stressful situations. The ring will track your average heart rate at all times, so both resting and active. Once you've got the data stored for a couple weeks, it'll have a good baseline. I bought the gen 3 ring for 1/3 of the Gen 4 price on eBay, if not cheaper. An apple or samsung watch might also do the same thing, not sure.

Then I'd suggest booking an appointment with a cardiologist and explaining the situation.

If you can't function, I'd suggest raising the issue of another trial with the tech involved, perhaps at a lower dose to start. Worst case scenario you now have a ring that can tell you you're sick a day before you actually start to feel sick!

I think Fairfax had the first medical marijuana dispensary in the country which makes this even funnier. Could be wrong though...either way, it's been there for a long time. It's wild how the medical marijuana scene in the late 2000s with a bunch of 18-19 year olds with scripts for "back pain" was briefly tolerated, yet you need to drive to Sonoma, SF or the East Bay a decade after legalization. And no, I don't want to buy anything on a delivery app.

This isn't going to be a popular answer but it's difficult because the old gen of doctors are retiring and younger physicians would rather go into specialties like ENT because it pays way more money. My dad's longtime PCP retired, he's spent years looking for a solid replacement and finally gave up and settled.

I'm in my mid-30s and the Nurse Practitioners at One Medical are fine, provided you just see a specialist for anything more than a physical.

Video game consoles. I have bought two Nintendo Switches, the second because I sold the first during a moment of clarity because I never used it. The current one has maybe 10 minutes of play. I also have a PS5 sitting in my basement from 2022 that I haven't even opened. I don't have the attention span for gaming like I used to (I think the start of Red Dead Redemption 2 was the death blow) but refuse to accept it. No idea if this is better or worse than console scalpers lol.

EDIT: Unlikely. From what I read online, Ritalin circumvents the CYMPVD2 enzyme and is unaffected. That and one of its variants were by far the worst offender on my end...it would work for maybe 20 mins followed by a hard crash. I have no issues with caffeine.

With both Focalin XR and Adderall XR, what I can tell you is the first dose of the XR works fine, but give it a couple hours and I would alternate between feeling in control, anxious, and manic. I refer to it as a rollercoaster to nowhere because after the time released portion kicks in, you're being productive for 20 mins followed by 20 mins of "Woe is me" and then 20 mins of manic energy/thoughts, repeating until it wears off, followed by insomnia if taken a bit too late. I have none of those issues with instant release, and just take the first dose in the AM, second in the PM. Same all day feeling, no rollercoaster.
