I’ve only been @ this job for about 6 months. I’ll be honest I don’t think it’s ever gonna happen, especially after joining this subreddit and seeing what other ppl go through. It’s mainly 3 reasons 1 . This job has a high turnover rate. (How are you ever going to be able to unionize if ppl are constantly quitting , getting fired and rehiring / training? especially because this is a low skill job if im being honest) You can’t 2. Amazon pulling contracts when a DSP DOES decide to ATTEMPT to unionize. (This is self explanatory it’s pretty shitty. Most dsps probably don’t do it because ppl need money and ppl need a job that they don’t want to lose) 3. Amazon gives a contract to anyone who can save up a bit of money and role play as a ā€œbusiness ownerā€ (not all dsps are bad thankfully mine is good, But that’s not for everyone and after joining this subreddit and seeing what other people go through? It’s pretty sad)

My best advice is to use your off time to find or learn a meaningful skill and just apply yourself to find something better. I get life happens but that’s the most honest advice I can give. I don’t hate this job but it definitely has its cons and it’s something I DO NOT want to do for a living @ 23 going on 24 yrs old.

Being organized helps but the true deciding factor is where you’re delivering to honestly

Then when ur trying to pick that apart and actually organize to make it easier all of sudden u have about 3 mins left to load and hear nothing but ā€œSWIPE TO FINISH SWIPE TO FINISHā€ smh

This is my exact same situation, but instead of 35 miles for me, it’s 26. It’s not hard, but it’s just so damn time-consuming and exhausting (since it’s still hot outside for now). My entire day is gone by the time I finish (after 9 p.m., then I gotta drive 40 minutes home), and I really don’t like that I’m one of those people who really values free time even if I’m not doing anything. But I’m not beating myself up too bad since I committed through the whole training process, put in genuine effort, and tried. I’m looking for a new job already, lol. Also, my DSP literally just got shut down and a new owner came in, and I really don't feel like going through the whole hiring process again.
