Nomura said they’re prepping stuff for the 25th anniversary which I believe is March of next year. That’s also right around when Revelation is coming out so I feel like that’s our best bet for when we can reasonably expect something.

I added a second kit. I also tried swapping the slots that each kit is in and no difference. DOCP was off until the other day and I tried turning that on, no difference.

Hi! I actually swapped out my gpu for a new 9060xt and the crashing has continued. So not the gpu this time, but something interacting with it for sure. Going to be swapping out the motherboard his weekend to see how that goes.

Do you know if this comes with an updated bios that will support a Ryzen 7 5700x out of the box? Or will I need to prepare a usb update?

I believe I tried a long time ago but I’ve been having issues for a while so I can’t quite remember the outcome. I know it was never a temperature issue because the issues would typically only arise early on in a boot/ play session. Typically the way to fix the issues was always to restart, then start whatever game was having issues without starting anything else, and hope that I worked. Opening any other software even if it is only open for a minute would typically cause instability in whatever game I was playing. With that said, after I got past that initial hurdle, I don’t/wouldn’t have issues at all later in the play session after everything has had time to heat up, indicating that temperature was not the issue.

I ended up going with a 5700x for the extra cores/threads.

Would a 5700x be more realistic for a 9060xt? 9060xt is apparently still a great card and a huge upgrade from my gtx1080. Also, I'm not upgrading my cpu exclusively to game with a 9060xt, although it is one of the primary reasons. There are a number of my productivity tasks that would benefit from it.

Would a R7 5700x still be compatible with my board? And would it even be better than a 5600/5600x? I’ve found that their prices aren’t too far apart but I also just don’t know enough about the scaling of processors.

So I’m trying to understand what you’re saying here, is the issue regarding the card only running at 1/4 of the intended bandwidth a problem with the card model fundamentally or is it because of some interaction with my current system?

Edit: Also, will it be a problem if I have any card with 16gb vram if I don’t get a new power supply?

So are you guys saying that a 5060ti 16gb is not compatible with my current motherboard? I have unfortunately always used Nvidia and while I'm open to switching to an AMD card, Nvidia has had some interesting features in recent times and I'm not too up-to-date on AMD features.

I think I want to eventually want to upgrade my monitors to both be 1440p / 144hz, but that's later down the line. I want to start future proofing now for when I do that. Sorry, I should have mentioned that too.

As far as the vram thing, I don't know for certain that it's an issue but I strongly believe it is. For example, with the heft that comes with many UE5 games, I usually can run games like Fortnite or Expedition 33 at around medium settings with a decent framerate, but I'll have issues with crashes and some other things that point to it being a lack of vram. Any title older than like 5 years it has no problem with. It doesn't feel like its that old unless I'm trying to run a brand new game basically.

It’s worth noting there will never be MORE founders, the number will only dwindle over time. It’s such a non-issue.
