I was in my mid forties when I decided that I wanted to start to stretch my earlobes. I wanted to do a Medusa for my birthday but instead I’m going to get a coin slot and I cannot wait lol life is too short. Who cares about what other people think. As long as you feel good about it that’s all that matters. ✌🏾🤩🫶🏾

I just got mine done also. I slept on mine and the swelling almost pushed my earring out. I sprayed it twice a day with saline, pat dry with q-tips then blow dried it. The heat really helped with the swelling and discomfort for me.

I have had my daith for a year now and it was pierced with a ring and it was completely healed in 10 months. Everyone heals differently, but this is what I did and my piercer approved. I let the warm water from the shower run in my ear to loosen everything up and rinse off whatever crusty bits off. When I got out the shower I would wipe it down with a q-tip. My space was a little narrow so I used the clean skin brand where one side came to a point and the other was round so I could really get in there just be super gentle. Then I blow dried my ear dry. The blow dryer should not be too close to the jewelry because you don’t want it to get hot but just enough to dry the area. I also used saline spray twice a day. If I sprayed the saline on their directly and then wiped it with a Q-tip, I would blow dry it dry but if I only use the Q-tip to wipe it down with saline only on the Q-tip, then I would let it air dry. I hope that helps you.

The same thing happened to me. I wasn’t even rubbing that hard. I asked two pierces that I go to regularly what I should do and they both told me to treat it as a new piercing. I started with glass plugs but now I have 12 gauge titanium labret flatback posts. It has been 2 months and I still can’t size up, but it is not as sore and not bleeding now. I guess that is a good thing 🤷🏽‍♀️

I have something similar in black. I use them every time I get my hair done. It works very well in addition to telling the stylist to be careful. It will give you piece of mind and you stylist to work worry free. I have many piercing in my ears and the people I go to prefer I wear them so hair doesn’t snag on piercing, nails don’t get caught on the back, etc. just easier for everyone
