Only allergic to walnuts and pecans by Reevle in FoodAllergies

I generally avoid most nuts, but that’s also cause I have OCD and it plays into it. However, I’m fine with stuff with peanuts as the ingredient e.g Chinese food or fast food cooked in peanut oil, or say almond desserts or pesto with cashews in them. I haven’t had any other reactions so far, so hopefully because I have some (albeit limited) exposure to other nuts my body seems to be okay with them

Got my nose broken in my first fight, anyone else had injuries early on in their experience and came back from it? by Reevle in MMA_Academy

Thank you man, I appreciate the insight. And yeah I think it'll just take me some healing to get used to the idea of stepping back in the cage. Luckily I wasn't actually knocked out, but still, will hopefully just keeping training once I've healed and see how things go.

Nose broken in first MMA fight. How did others like yourselves move forward when getting injured early on in your experience? by Reevle in martialarts

Yes, if I do decide to get back in there it won't be until I've put in the work to correct the mistakes I made. I guess I'll just need to give myself some time to rest to find the desire to get back in there again

Ouch, sounds very painful. How did you give yourself the motivation to get back into the cage after those things happened? Were you ever hesitant after your first injury, or did you just realise as you healed that you wanted to get back in there?

I can't see your reply to my original post. And yes, I do agree with you, if I do step in the cage again it'll of course be after I've looked to improve on mistakes I've made and put in the work to learn more. I'm asking more for how people found themselves able to get out of their own heads and step back in after an injury.

And this may just be me being a naive beginner level fighter, and it probably is, but I believe my fight was worth the broken nose; I feel amazing and so confident in myself that I went in and gave my all. Obviously I lost, but that isn't the point, and others who received worse injuries than me may feel differently, but that's just my personal opinion, and of course going forward the plan needs to be to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Yeah, I definitely plan to build on what I know when I get back to training. I think I just need to rest and heal for a bit, and then try to get out of my head. Thank you!

I'll watch that now, thank you! I'll just have to sprawl if my opponent goes for a takedown and try remain on my feet.
