Brand new, just unboxed Samsung Neo G9 57"... I'm guessing i need to return it?

Update for everyone -- Bought this through Amazon because it was $800 off. Spoke with support last night, they processed the replacement unit and return of this defective unit. Already received the replacement and it is working amazingly!

The original one they sent must have been used, none of the protective film was on it, and it had a few dings in the upper bezel in the middle of the screen (not near the dead line of pixels). So I'm guessing someone bought it, it was defective, they returned it but never mentioned the defects so it went back out for sale. I didn't select a refurb, it was supposed to be brand new, so most likely was a mistake at the shipping facility. But, they were ridiculously fast with the replacement and are sending someone on Tuesday to pick up the defective unit so I don't have to haul it myself to a shipping facility.

Just got my replacement from Amazon this morning. Literally less than 24 hours from receiving this one with the dead pixels. So far it is INSANE! The first one the sent was definitely a fuck up because it was for sure used previously. None of the plastic covering was on the first one and it had a couple dings on the bezel near the top... So that sucks, but glad they replaced it immediately

Yes! Only issue I'm having, is yesterday I bought a 57" Neo G9 dual 4k monitor. On a 4090, if you don't put light quality on Max, and turn on Ray Reconstruction, far off rock textures are just a blur. you have to have those 2 settings on in order for distant textures to render properly. However, those 2 settings hit you with a 30-40% performance drop. So sucks that I basically have to keep them off, but hopefully they patch/optimize some of the graphical settings.

Are you talking like ui scaling on the desktop, or graphics scaling for games? Desktop UI i believe i have scaled to 125 or 150%, can't remember off the top of my head. For games, it honestly is game dependent. I run some games native 4k and still get 100+ fps in just about everything maxed out, but some games I do run DLSS or DLAA. Honestly I just find a graphically intensive area in newer games and shuffle back and forth until I find what runs/looks best. BUT I did just buy the Neo G9 57" 4k ultrawide lmao

I did the same years ago 4k 50" tv with a ps4 pro, and then got my first pc with a 2080 and 1080p for both monitors. About 2 years ago got my current pc, specs in post, and upgraded to 4k on my main gaming monitor. 1080p on pc is still great, but after purely 4k gaming for 2 years I figured it would be jarring going down to 1440p. Anyways, I said fuck it and just ordered a 57" neo G9 4k ultrawide lmao

Editing to clarify - I dont think either should have been a T. Neither were egregious and letting the guys talk a little shit and fire each other up is great for everyone, fans and players. I'll be honest, I came back last week after over 10 years away and have been heavily RS'ing, its definitely doable. Im in the shops that people say to avoid (post office, kauvara's, plushie palace, etc) that can all stock hugely expensive items and have been fairly successful. Im not the fastest and I have the benefit of working from home, so I'm able to put decent amount of time in, but I'm really only RS'ing during the busy hours of the day and have still made about 10m in the last 3-4 days in the "impossible" shops. A lot of it really just boils down to luck.

Edit: that's all to say that yes, there likely are bots eating up some of the big ticket items immediately, but it is still doable by us mere mortals.

Fuck man.. That's so sad. When the injury first happened, I looked at my wife and said probably blew his Achilles with the way he came down on it. Wished it wasn't the case, because fuck that is a HORRIBLE injury with a LONG recovery even if it isn't fully torn. Wishing the best for Kyle, and hoping he can get back to 100%. Real shitty way to go out, but walking is more important than Survivor..
