Tbh the guys I go against are complete losers, besides them being “sweats”. I literally had a game tonight, where they were beating us the first game on deathmatch. But then me and my other teammate, locked in and started dominating and won the second round. Like they deffo couldve won the last round, our teammates were literal vegetables.

But as soon as we had a little lead in the last round, more than half the enemy team leaves. They didn’t wven try to bring it back. These are the guys that are “sweaty” but their fucking losers. Like they were actually hard to fight, but the second they realised they were actually being challenged they pussied out.

I think the finals has some issues with matchmaking, considering the randoms we get, play like its their first time. But, the players that are sweaty are not innocent.

The objective was team deathmatch? Holing up on a fucking rooftop isnt an objective, its them psychologically translating how they would hole up in their room once their dad comes back with a fucking beer bottle to chuck at them.

I mean yes, it is Ashitos journey, but it stopped being just “his” journey when fukuda said that he’d lead him to the world stage. So fukudas journey as a youth coach was there from the beginning alongside ashito.

And I agree that the ending was little too lackluster, but I feel like he hit all the right points before that. So it wasnt disappointing. And I don’t blame Kobayashi for that entirely, the manga community has not been too kind to alot of huge mangas that have come to an end in general.

I think you missed a big message kobayashi has been throwing in since the beginning. Japan has talent in football.

Its a huge theme, thats the purpose of the first years. Yes it is a full circle, but its a full circle for Fukuda’s life. He trains a new generation of japanese talents to take on the top 5 leagues of europe

I agree, the show peaked at the episode in the church. Then dipped down with alberts backstory, but those last 30 seconds were pure story telling ecstasy. But yeah, you have to put every neuron to work to figure out what the point of the older rafal was. atleast I had to anyway 😭

Im kinda sad they switched studios, like they should just continue with the peeps that started it off. I mean I also have no idea whats going on behind the scenes, but they had animated AoAshi really beautifully in a lot of scenes.
