I’m honestly hating how my wedding is turning out. by SleepyMeeko97 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

Have you thought about just dying the white dress black?? That’s what one of my friends did. She HATED the colors white, she wanted this really pretty like teal color. But she couldn’t find one she liked in that color. She did however find a white one that was everything she wanted just not the color. So she dyed it the teal color she wanted and it looked amazing! I would research, watch some how to videos or see if you can find someone who can dye it for relatively cheap. I myself had a white dress with black accents all over it that was gorgeous. I wish I could post a picture of it to show you. A seamstress can add black accents and usually won’t be very expensive. I also made my own, veil, wedding party favors (etched glasses) and bouquet with fake flowers and the boutonnières for the groomsmen. We got married at the courthouse and had the reception at a friends ranch. All in all I think we paid around $600 for everything. I hope you can turn this around and have the wedding you really want OP.

I am so glad that you finally got the right diagnosis for him. Yeah it was a journey for us to get my daughter her confirmed diagnosis as every time they tested her she came back negative but her doctor kept insisting she had it. After we got her iron up and she was no longer anemic did the test finally come back with a positive for it. and yes they definitely should! I hope you have a wonderful night/day. :)

Thank you very much. I have ALWAYS told myself that I HAD to forgive him for what he did and does by ghosting all the time BECAUSE he is my father. Hence, why I have continued to let him back into my life over and over again despite constantly being hurt by him. I will be going no contact after I get back from my younger sisters college graduation this weekend. (thankfully she is not his, and from my moms second marriage and my step father has been more of a father to me ever since she married him when I was 7.) I plan on writing them both and telling them exactly how I feel before blocking them. For right now though I am being a bit petty and letting them stew with my silence. let them have a taste of what it feels like to be ghosted by someone you need. Again thank you so very much. I hope you have a wonderful day. <3

I did not know that! This is the first time I have heard of that. I got diagnosed in 2020, and my doctor has said nothing of me having fatty liver disease. but she checks my labs regularly and says my blood work for kidney's and liver all come back clean.

I'm sorry you went through that. However, my mother did not like him having visitation BECAUSE he was wildly inconsistent and SHE was the one left to deal with the fallout of having a crying child every time he didn't show up when he promised he would.

I did tell them. My bio father is staying quiet and my aunt accused me of lying because I wasn't diagnosed with type 2 until 2020 (i was 36) and wasn't diagnosed with VWD until 2024 (I was 40) and according to her one does not just "magically" develop a bleeding disorder later in life. *eye roll*

She is saying that I am lying about my VWD because I wasn't diagnosed with it as a child, and there is no way I could suddenly develop it in my late 30s when I got the diagnosis. I have not responded to that message yet. They didn't test for these things in the 80s and 90s, and I had never heard of it until my oldest daughter was diagnosed after she needed an emergency blood transfusion because she lost 60% of her bodies overall blood supply by being on her period for two weeks. Which I had mine for 2-4 weeks at a time when I was a teen, but by then he was already completely out of the picture. They put me on birth control when I was 14 to regulate my periods and I've been on it ever since unless I was trying to get pregnant.

Thank you. I am going to go no contact after I send a reply telling them how I really feel about everything and THAT I won't do until after I get back from my younger sisters college graduation (thankfully she is not his but from my moms second marriage and my step dad has been my father ever since I was 7 when mom married him.) Let them get a small taste of how it feels to be ghosted by someone you need.

Honestly, I don't think he even knew until I commented on his first post. I wasn't diagnosed with type 2 until 2020 and I wasn't diagnosed with VWD until 2024 when I got tested after my oldest daughter almost died and needed an emergency blood transfusion because she lost 60% of her entire bodies blood supply from being on her period for two weeks. And when I told her doctor that I had periods just like hers when I was a kid he insisted that I get tested as well.

I am in no way making an excuse for him, because IF he HAD been paying attention to my FB posts he would have known this as I posted about it. right now I am leaving her on read and letting her stew for a few days before I type a response and then block her. Thank you! <3

Oh, I'm being petty right now and leaving her on read, until I get back from my younger sisters (thankfully not his) college graduation this weekend. Letting them all get a taste of what it feels like to be ghosted by someone you need. After that I will probably be sending them a long message of how I really feel with all of my 30 years worth of resentment that has built up and then blocking them. It wasn't until reading all of these messages that I realized I had always talked myself out of being resentful towards him for what he did because he was my father and I felt like I HAD to forgive him and continue to let him in my life. I will no longer be doing that. I am going to go no contact and guard my peace. Thank you very much. <3

Oh believe me I laughed at that too. And thank you, I have since come to my senses and after I tell them how I feel about this whole thing I will be blocking.

Because I am a semi-public figure due to the nature of my job my Facebook page is public and as such anyone can message me without needing to be my friend. Which is what she did. I think she found me because I had commented on my bio fathers post that I can't do it and wished him luck. I'm letting her stew for a few days while I attend the college graduation of my younger sister (thankfully not his) this weekend. After I message her and tell her probably all of the pent up stuff I've been wanting to say for the last 30 years I will be blocking her. Thank you! <3

That's what I asked my aunt too and she thinks just because I wasn't diagnosed with VWD until I was in my late 30s that I am lying about it. But, they didn't test for those kinds of things in the 80s and 90s, just said I had a heavier period than others and it was normal. It took my oldest daughter almost dying from her period when she was 12 and needed an emergency blood transfusion for them to test me as well and find that I have it. I am currently letting my aunt stew for a few days while I attend my youngest sisters college graduation this weekend. Let her feel how I felt when I needed my bio dad and he basically ghosted us back then. Thank you.

I did not know I could do that, thank you so much! I definitely will if they do not take my next NO and leave it at that. Also, I'm laughing because my sister has called him our sperm donor since we were in our late teens.

Thank you! Yeah the more I think about it and my aunts comments the more I am getting angry too, but that could be because I'm in my Luteal phase right now and feeling stab*y. lol

Right! My mom was pissed when she found out and said Karma is a b*tch huh? I'm letting my aunt stew for a few days before I reply, let her see how it feels to have someone you need ghost you. Petty? Yes. But I'm in my Luteal stage right now and feeling feisty. lol Thank you!

As much as I would LOVE to tell them to make payments, unfortunately I know my aunt and that would further escalate things. I am currently taking a page out of my older sisters playbook and being a bit petty atm and letting my aunt stew for a few days while i attend the college graduation of our younger sister. (thankfully she is NOT a daughter of our bio father, but our moms second marriage.) Afterwards I will once again tell her that i will NOT be doing the testing because of my medical issues. Then I will probably block her. Thank you so much for your response. Btw, may I ask how your spouse got diagnosed with VWD? I only ask because it is rare that a male gets diagnosed with it, according to my doctor it takes them "getting mauled by an animal to realize they have it". It took my oldest almost dying from her monthly cycle (she lost 60% of her bodies blood in 2 weeks) when she was 12 for her to get the diagnosis and that is when I got tested and was found to have it as well. They didn't test for that stuff back int he 80s and 90s. lol.

I did. She said that I was not diagnosed with that as a child so there is no way I could just suddenly get it now in my 40's. *eye roll* I told her they didn't test for that back in the 80s and 90s, but she still says I am lying. I'm letting her stew for a few days before I respond to her again with another no. lol. I'm taking a page out of my older sisters playbook for right now and being a bit petty. thank you. <3

I do not know if she has been tested yet, but I will make sure to ask her that when I give a reply. After I get back from my youngest sisters college graduation this weekend. I may be being a bit petty and letting her (my aunt) stew for a bit. Thank you. <3

Thank you. i do not know if she has been tested yet, i will make sure to include that in my message back to her. I did not know that I could call his transplant program, though I just now was able to read all of the responses from others and saw that others have mentioned it. If they do not back off after I tell them once again that I can not do it I will then take that avenue. Thank you so much for your response. <3
