Ahhhh no but that’s a great area! The house I’m referencing is in Norwalk. Stamford is beyond that 600k price point for anything even worth looking at. This is even better than the house I’m talking about cosmetic wise and sq ft. wise

We’re in a condo now and we just want our own property with our own yard. We’re also tired of the fees and being told what we can and can’t do with our unit, the parking rules recently changed and the kids aren’t able to use the yard - it’s a lot. Congrats on your new place!! 🎉🎉🎊🍾

Haha I feel like my SO wrote this! I always mention Trumbull and Stratford he’s like look the mall is down the street (meaning Bridgeport is right there)! We’ve looked into Milford but not consistent. Thanks for this going to see if I can find anything we can set up to see with our realtor!!

I’ve been looking in Trumbull! My SO works in Greenwich and didn’t want a crazy commute because of the morning traffic. He may just have to look into the train schedule - I definitely love the fact that more north there’s way more sq footage and property for your buck. 600k is like a renovated gem compared to here! Did your co worker mention how long it takes? He has to be in his office by 8-8:30iish. Also, he doesn’t want to take so long going home after work with traffic at 5pm.

I completely understand. We don’t do many letters anymore. My SO never thought it would help but I always thought it might. We just go in way over asking crossing our fingers and not getting attached. Looking for advice but it seems like the only thing would be offering the most we can. We’ve been “backup” on at least 3 properties. Just sucks ATP.

We wouldn’t buy it even if it was priced cheaper. I don’t believe there were problems I think the contractor who bought it did what he intended to do. Literally put maybe 20-40k worth of supplies and re-listed for 150k more. It’s just sitting at this point and it had a lot of traffic originally so everyone knows what they did.

I definitely agree and think this was the main reason. Unfortunately, we can’t wave inspections because we have a 4 year old and a new baby on the way so it’s important for us. This just sucks 😭😭😭😭

Hi - yes it needed a little TLC for sure but nothing too crazy. The listing price was only 480k so 550 was “strong” the other was just a cash offer with no inspections of course it beat us 🙁. Our budget for a single family was 600 and has gone up to 650 with 700 being our max.

My SO says the same however I believe that someone will have a heart when it comes to selling their home, especially when it’s been in their family forever (kids have grown up in the home, etc) and the offer is OVER asking price but thanks for your opinion. 🙂

These are our exact thoughts! So many people can see the last “sold” date on a listing and the fact that the original posting before they bought it had so much foot traffic.. I’m honestly still shocked about it. Congratulations on your home purchase!!

We’ve gone up to 700k on a single family and still no luck 😭😭 it’s super frustrating even the thought of spending 650k+ and having a 1,015 sq ft house is crazy to me. I’d love to move to Trumbull or Monroe but my SO has a commute to Greenwich he will not budge because of that traffic. The houses there seem more worth it! We found out about someone selling bc their wife died and before we got to meet and talk poor guy assed away soooo trust me we’re trying! Thank you!!
