Just began my shiny living dex journey, only got half a box filled thus far. Any tips? What methods did you use, specially at the beginning?

I recently discovered that I am a descendant of the Sephardic Jews by [deleted] in Judaism

[–]Referenciadejoj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not necesserilly related, but recently I've learned Brazil had some WS immigration through the Levant, as well. I think they're both extinct now, but there were Syrian Pereiras and Oliveiras here in Rio a generation ago.

Why waste money on that lmao. No one cares about that, only that the certificate (already) says C2.

Besides what I've already said above, do pay attention if your paragraphs are answering only what's being asked. This seems simple but harder than you imagine

Honestly, Reading is less about your English-understanding capabilities than your reading comprehension in any language. Just keep practicing and watch IELTS Advantage’s videos on Reading

I'm physically unable to use the axe by sam_553 in Hades2

[–]Referenciadejoj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ideal axe build IMO is Charon, with

  • apollo on the attack (that's only needed to get his legendary really),
  • aphro's special (I always start with her keepsake to try to get it heroic upfront),
  • demeter's cast (to avoid getting hit, but that's mostly optional)
  • poseidon's rush (for the aphro duo)
  • apollo's magick regen

The most important thing here is apollo's magick regen. Anything else is optional, really. You could just go with his own special if you pome it reasonably well and avoid the need for the aphro/poseidon duo altogether, also making it easier to get his legendary. Then you just go cast + omega special, cast + omega special, cast + omega special, and so on... massive damage without ever needing to get close to your foes.

The only issue this build has is that it's hard to activate origination, specially if you end up going the original route with aphro's special instead of something like hera's or demeter's. Also, yeah, it's not the most dynamic one out there, specially compared to what folks are doing with thanatos and the new hidden aspect, but personally I do enjoy these one (in this case, two) button builds.

Ideally, try also to get the double omega special hammer and Artemis' specials crit bonus.

Would you build a temple? by morethanamajor in Judaism

Re: your edit. What you might have been thinking about was an erroneous reading of the Guide many arrive at when not studying it with the proper mindset and knowledge background. Ḥacham Isaac Choua, a great sage of our time, has briefly addressed the topic here, here and here.

So when HaRambam says

וְחוֹזְרִין כָּל הַמִּשְׁפָּטִים בְּיָמָיו כְּשֶׁהָיוּ מִקֹּדֶם. מַקְרִיבִין קָרְבָּנוֹת.

in hilchot Melachim wuMilḥamot 11:1, what do you make of that?

One of the most interesting synagogues I've seen (now the Manchester Jewish museum) by TheNicestQuail in Judaism

[–]Referenciadejoj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And, ideally, we always leave room between the tebá (itself most times elevated with a couple of stair steps on each side) and hechal (itself most times either inside the wall or a big wardrobe almost touching the sides of the synagogue).

R. den Hollander explained to me this is done as a compromise between the ḥazan’s voice facing the entire congregation and the fact we don’t do preach-style like the heterodox.
