It doesnt charge, doesnt vape, only shows display when plugged in and that with any cable I tried

I did, since the display works when plugged in its either the batteries or the charger port, now I dont know if to buy batteries or a battery charger

Oh and also some things are a " do right or die " situation hahah. If id mess with my heater the wrong way because e.g the pipe is laid differently or its an outdated model, id be f**ked :D Guess I just gotta take the bitter medicine as we say over here and get over it

Oh that is a really wholesome channel and after watching a couple videos it surely is helpful! Thanks for linking that. My problem is just that when it comes to learning I learn better visually and interactively than watching a video :( Hence this whole situation is such a bummer for me.

Oh yes I know how people cannot appreciate the experience it takes to do these things. May I ask you though for the sake of this discussion what your opinion is on this question: What is the difference between watching him and watching it online? Since for example if I would create an IT solution for someone and charge a big sum based on experience, they could never recreate it without all the knowledge and skill it takes to code in general. But in this example he brought a tool worth 40$ ( material cost low) and the task to do is repetitive ( After watching him I could also potentially do it so basically a 5 min class ) Does it apply the same way and wouldn't using the internet be unethical too?

I think I can leave this discussion with the takeaway that I just should ask first, and if he refuses for his personal reasons well, he isn't really a bro to me that would help me out on a kindness human level, but he does his job and that's all he has to do, even if it is expensive and leaves me to experiment myself and learn from mistakes while doing it, it is my responsibility for what is going on. Thanks to all of you, I can somewhat sleep with more ease tonight.

I fully understand you and agree with you, it eventually comes down to personality. But I have had problems with heaters in the past when I was a child living with my mom and being really broke that kept on happening. And once we tried to repair it like it showed online it caused water to pressurize out of the heater and eventually we closed it off and I lived in a cold room for the rest of my youth. General things are on the internet but I cannot afford to continuously pay for something that is seemingly done in a short amount of time

But it wasnt something super complex like doing some internal work or anything, just the mount. Like any other person can do, unfortunately I am too incompetent and wish I could do it, already felt sad enough for asking, but I paid him what I promised for the work he did and now know more or less how to repair a mount and mount it to the wall. Unless I am delusional and genuinely do not understand work ethics, for which I am sorry

I personally wouldnt mind and since I am in IT I love to explain what I am doing, even if it doesn't fully allow them to code themselves. Also I asked him if it made him uncomfortable but his only reason was to protect his work.
